I love how JMS did his, good luck with it mate.

Have you dropped the front another 10mm yet? Are you taking the adjusters out the coilover?

Good luck with making the grille and i know what you mean about the front plate being a PITA to find somewhere to put it.
I'm just going to honeycombe the centre bit and cut the crash bar so its not visible
What cooler do you currently have??

Cheers mate, think I'm going to need it.

I'm currently running the TX autosport FMIC.

Which cooler you going for mate?

Plate will look cool ;)

Going to give one of these a go, cant go wrong for the price. Would've loved a forge or the new AmD cooler but I've not got the cash and these seem to be performing really well.

Bigger isn't always better ;)

yeah your right, its thing like pressure loss across the core that are also important, mainly caused by smaller inlets, the toyo cooler has no pressure loss and intake temps are amazing. over my apexi (same size as normal forge cooler) i gained 15 ftlb on a 15 degree warmer day with no other mods. also on a power run intake temps stay within 5 degrees of out side temps. impressive stuff on a stage 2 k04 that runs silly hot :D

Rich,

I had that toyo cooler on my lcr before my big forge, nice bit of kit for the money, spend a little extra time making the piping well and it fit's almost as good as the "kits" offered by tuners.

Yeah I realise that mate, the TX has been great and thats not big at all, but this cooler has been cropping up more and more recently and is supposedley performing really well and for £85 it would be rude not to give it a go. If it turns out I'm not happy with it I'll not be out of pocket by to much. :D

I may just keep the pipe work off the TX on there and change the cooler:think: TX pipework seems decent enough:

Due to other commitments I've not done as much work on the new front grill as I would have liked. This is what I've done so far:

Started like this:

Chopped the top bits off one and fibre glassed them in place on the other:

Cut a piece of the lower grill to fit in the gap then filler and glued bits:

Pic of how the honeycomb matches up:

It still is far from finished need to fill in a few parts where the honeycomb is slightly short but overall I'm quite pleased with the progress so far. Hopefully I'll have it finished soon.

Cheers for looking :)

Out of interest, when you do this grill mod do you have to cut the original number plate mounting off the bumper or can you remove it somehow?

Love your progress Richard.

No you have to cut the bumper mount unfortunately.

Like JMS said, the bumper needs cut

Out of interest mate does it leave a small gap or will it be covered by the curve of the grill?

New intercooler has arrived today:

to give you an idea of the size of it, here it is with the new grill:

Compared to:

Only problem is the one I ordered has 64mm inlet and outlet and the one they have sent has 76mm inlet and outlet, so I need to ring them tomorrow to see about getting one sent out with the correct size inlet and outlet :( nothing's easy.
