Had my jetex 80mm filter and 80-70mm reducer turn up. Only to realise I still need a 80mm coupler to fit the filter to the reducer.
Does anyone know of any shops where I can pick one up tomorrow, around Southampton way.

And will I need a 70mm coupler to go to the MAF as well or should it fit straight in?

go to B&Q and just buy a 100mm jubilee clip. its more than capable of doing the job. you will find them in the fan and ducting sections. they will go from 100mm down to 10mm or less. its a quick and easy way of getting what you need. or any builders merchants should do them.

well i used a manual boost controller to bypass my n75 to see if it solved my surge problem and boost problems and i can report back that once i got it set right. it peaked at most 0.85-0.9 bar but then sat steady to around 5.5krpm at 0.8-0.7bar through all the gears. the car drives smoother but it seems a bit less responsive at low throttle which i believe to be normal side affect of bypassing the n75. i want to run the mbc inline with the n75 next to see if this sorts it out.

I got the clips, it's cos the reducer is the exact size of the filter that I can't fit it on or in, so I need a coupler.

if you have any exhaust places around or garages give them a try and see if they can get you a small piece of 70mm or 80mm pipe whichever your after. they usually all have offcuts lying around which im sure they will give you. i have done this in the past a few times and i eneded up bringing back a milltek de-cat and center section lol. was no good for my car but i sold it on for a nice tidy sum lol. still i had to look elsewhere for the bloody piece of pipe i needed as it was too good to cut into a good exhaust.

Have fixed my leaking doors (hopefully) at the bargain price of £5 (WICKES black gutter repair rubber)and a few hours of my time and have re-fixed a piece of trim on top of the pollen filter that I found just laying under the scuttle panel.
