sooooo the weekend before last i had a big weekend working on the car an finally fitted my intercooler.
i created a bracket to move the radiator back to fit the cooler with minimal bumper cutting. I then made some brackets to fit onto the crash bar and welded them in place, i then spreyed them to match the crash bar (black).
i fitted cooler and then piped up the cooler using the orginal map pipe (want to change in near future). i replaced all pipes apart from the boost pipe coming off the turbo.
after that i decided to cold side relocate the dv. i had the stuff lying around for it for ages so was good point to do it.
i then cut the engine cover to fit over the DV and i personally think looks quite cool. need to sprey engine cover now though to match.
Finished Product, i will be putting mesh back on though....
loving car at the moment, and since flipping dv sounds alot cooler !! but god damn i need to lower it an get those back wheels out the arches lol
That's a quality idea with cold side t piece wish I had thought of that I've just forked out on a custom SFS hose to fit my 57mm piping and the 63mm throttle body!
Youve done a tidy job of fitting the cooler too, you leaving that standard flat piping on it?
Cheers pal. I'm hoping not to keep the flat map pipe on for too long. It's the only flat/standard pipe left post turbo. Still need a top, but money is bait tight at the mo. when I can though I will be investing in a map pipe an a tip. Slowly getting there but....slowly hahaha
Yeah the t pieced turned out working well. It all turned out better than I hoped so I was chuffed.
You going to the big meet? Be good to see your car in the flesh. You don't live too far away at all so will have to meet up one day, and berg as I know he lives ur way doesn't he.
