I agree with you as I would remove it as it looks great - going to have a good think about how much I do need it!

Considering getting some rainX or similar to test.

Yeah rain x could be a nice addition while having no wiper, been wanting to try it out myself, on all the windows. Just haven't got around to do it yet!
Think the glass cover looks great, very discrete.

Also the light mod looks very good, top work mate

Yeah the glass plug looks very good, just be sure you use enough sealant, as I managed to get a few minor air bubbles at one spot. Looks grey from the outside, not very easy noticeable though! ;-)

Glad you like my light mod Graham! It gives the rear a whole different expression in the dark IMO. :)

My mechanic is gonna take a look later this week what needs to be done prior to "MOT".
Have noticed some wierd tracking issues at the right front wheel as well, maybe its about time to get a few new bits! :)

MOT news

Had my mechanic go over the car today, to see whats needed for MOT.
Results were cheaper than feared;

Front anti toll bar bushes - way too much play here, badly needed!
Inner CV joint left hand side. (don't know what this is most commonly referred to as? CV joint? CV boot? Constant velocity joint protection boot) :D

Also measured the brakes to be sure, front were 21mm, needed to be 19mm, while rear needed to be 7mm, also were 20+mm :)

As the above would be cheap enough, I'll be changing some fluids at the same time.
Engine oil and filter, gearbox oil, haldex oil, and rear diff oil! :) :funk:

Been looking into some stash for the MOT, should be around £150-200 + oils.

Also adding a picture that shows one hour worth of interior heater! :)

Got rest of the oils for the service, about £350 total.

I decided to refurb and powder coat my summer wheels, so I dug into the barn and got them out yesterday, and dropped them off to get the tires off. Picked the rims up today, and have planned on starting grinding this weekend..

Some pics of what I'm facing:

A lot of corrosion on the inside!

Deep scratches here.. Bought some chemical metal to rebuild it.

Two of them have deep scratches, while the other two has got only tons of stone chips etc. At the moment I'm thinking about doing them in a gloss black, but havn't really decided yet.

Started refurbing today.
Pulled off valves, Hub rings and center caps, and taking off the weights.
Seems that the two of them are not so much work, while the third is a good heap more, and number 4 is a nightmare! hehe. :cartman:

Will not be focusing on perfection and high gloss on the inside! As long as the paint sticks it would do..
Outside will get some more love ofc.! :)

Oh, and theres some details still to decide upon... :

Looking good mate. I'd go for the white on the wheels myself. Where abouts in Norway are you? I've got family in Bergen :)

Will go good together with the colour I chose. I think. ;)

(Different scratches than above) dried and sanded. Also notice the screws have been taken out..

Soon all four are ready for paint! :)

Still have a few hours of sanding to do, but it won't take too long.
Also have to source some new hub rings, and order up a can of colour coded paint to go on the hub caps! :)
