Just to finish this off..

Got myself a Vag Scanner Code Reader for £16 on Ebay - brilliant bit of kit. It identified 3 diagnostic trouble codes all concerning driver & passenger side airbag ignitors, erased codes and problem sorted - warning light now off and airbags activated.
Also, repairs to door seals tested in recent rain and now all watertight, just need to get rid of the lingering smell of mould!

Hi there can some one please give help perhaps with a pic. I checked my pollen filter its dry dont know what bit to seal with silicone? When i get in the car i can see water running down from behind the dash into the passenger footwell its obvious its coming from the pollen filter area or nearby.

I'm not sure why you're sealing it with silicone? The cover is meant to be removable, the pollen filter is on the service schedule as a disposable item. All you need to do is ensure that the cover and the filter housing all fit together properly, so the water runs out on to the back of the engine bay rather than into the filter.

my problem is from underneath the scuttle panel on the drivers side near to the bonnet release catch there is a large black plastic panel that covers wiring, there is a foam type seal around this plastic panel, the panel itsself can be lifted and so I think this is where the leak is coming from. I have used sealant on this and got my fingers crossed

It was all going so well! Anyway, airbag warning light came back on today :(, and VAG scanner shows one DTC code (crash sensor on passenger side) so passenger seat & carpets are coming out again to investigate [:@] - maybe the sensor doesn't like not being submerged in water!

My pollen filter seems to be fine, i'll check the drain area under the rubber seal. I always notice water running in the passenger side footwell from the upper right hand corner. Really pissing me off!

Is there where other people are experiencing the same problem on the passenger side?

Might be worth checking up in that corner for any evidence of poor accident damage repair by previous owner? I know of a few cases where this has caused unusual water leaks e.g. spot welded seams not properly sealed and/or inside panel distortion not corrected beyond that which is easily visible.

Re-sealed my NSR door card today- but now my Aura stereo appears to be permanently muted...

Any ideas?

Pretty sure I reconnected all the plugs- & even if id missed the speaker plug surely the others would still function?

The radio switches on fine & volume appears to increase on the headunit, but the speakers are silent...

Any help gratefully received!

I've got soggy driver's side footwells at the moment, both front and back.
My local VW specialist (who normally deals with my Leon) has sealed the doors as per the earlier guide, and it's not coming from the pollen filter.
It looks as though it might be coming through from by the pedals somewhere? Any suggestions?
I've seen the earlier comments regarding the bulkhead seal but want to be sure it might be that given people have said it's a dash-out job.

I would not say its a dash out job, you will need to remove the wipers and the scuttle panel, once you see the black plastic and the surrounding foam seal, this is what you need to repair, the seal on mine was useless and the plastic could be lifted and so water was trickling down the pedals.

No guide but simple when you remove the wipers and the scuttle panel near where the wiper linkage is the the black part which is sealed with the black foam seal. This is what need to be sealed

Is it the one where the bonnet cable goes into
I sealed that up today but not sure if it was the right one or if i did it properly
