Cleaned and hoovered it. Went and got some Rain-X windscreen washer from Halfrauds and on the way back had a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R stuck up my chuff.

Fitted the powerflex bushes to lower wishbone and did cambelt change on Saturday and upgraded all interior lights and rear number plate lights to led on Friday.

i have no idea why everyone rants on about the type R. they are foul looking, and worst of all slow! they do not feel fast, and their "vtec" makes more noise than go. i was told when i took one for a test drive that when vtec kicked in i would be more than happy with the car.

i handed back the keys and asked them if they were having a laugh!
since then ive driven countless numbers of them, and each one fail to impress.

my FR is certainly quicker, more responsive, smoother ride and more of a pleasure! and further more, the 12 year old band wagons dont bang on about them so its great when people think they are all that with their sporty hatch, and our 5 door family wagons show them up.

didnt mean you were ranting lol but if you asked a group of people what car is better, Leon or Type R, no doubt they will rave about how amazing the R is. which shows they have no clue lol.

it took me a year to decide what car to get next, i tried everything from 500 abarth, to TTs and A1s, to Type R to Range Rover Sports. the FR just done it for the great all rounder for me.

Adjusted the main beam on the leon, hoovered the car then left the outside to collect dirt ;)

Out of interest how did you adjust the main beam? The adjusters on mine move the entire headlight.

Theres a round little plastic adjustment which connects to a wheel just on top of the headlight when you open the bonnet which you can pop an allen key head into and i turned clockwise. Not sure if it moved my whole headlight didn't really notice that but it did sort the beam out :)

Yeah, same as mine. There's another you can access from inside the top of the front wings. One does the vertical adjustment, the other does horizontal. Both do the whole headlight.

One of my main beams is pointing higher than the other but it doesn't appear possible to adjust it independantly of the dipped beam.

bargin cupra engine cover off flebay arrived today so i cleaned it up ready for cutting around the twintake then off too the painters.

Im not to sure with regards to the main beam, as you say it say just move the whole headlight unit, an MOT station would be your best bet id say mate

Yup. Went to one. Had everything checked, re-seated the bulbs and adjusted what they could. Offside main beam still points higher than it should but there's no way to adjust it (short of bending the housing up/down) so we left it as it is.

Resprayed my front grill surround and did the Seat badge black in the process. Had my tyres switched around front to back, rebalanced and the geometry/alignment done. Top marks to Tyreland Southampton. :)
