Mine passed the NCT yesterday (our version of MOT). Was worried about the HIDs but left them in the car and it passed anyway.

Had to clear an airbag light on a friends A3 this morning with vagcom. Decided whilst I had it open I'd reset my throttle body. Man what a difference! I must drive like a granny for the ECU to adapt that badly!

Not until at least April!

hid's will only fail in april/may if headlamp washer's and self levelling system's are fitted and clearly inoperative. if in any doubt the tester should pass and advise a faulty self levelling system

however if the system's are not fitted then it cannot be tested so aslong as the headlamp aim is ok then hid's will pass the mot :D

Narrowed down the annoying squeeking noise to the heater motor behind the glove box.

Tried stripping it down to clean out the build up off carbon, dust and general gunk to see if that would fix the noise.

:(

Unfortunately when dismantling it I managed to snap one of the thin metal contacts, got the first off then the second on broke.... *##*!!!!!

Not happy, oh well I will just need to get a new heater motor on Monday morning and connect it back up before work..
