I took the car along with Mylo off to AmD Essex today for a bit of Christmas fun :D
The aim was to finally put the stage 2 AmD map on the car, I've had all the suporting hardwear mods for awhile now so thought it was time for a new map.

Before any mapping was done the car had a run on the rollers to check what power it was producing, it made a heathy 290BHP (Not sure what the torque was)
It was then scaned for any fault codes, this all came back clear.
Then it was time for the stage 2 map :D
The results were a bit mixed we got 295BHP but only 240LB/Ft, it had lost 66LB/FT over my previous best run.
We tried another file but the car would'nt produce any more torque

The last time the map was tweaked was after it came back from Milltek after doing the development work for the new Turbo back exhaust system, At the time Kenny made 2 new map's, 1 with a bit more boost than what I had a stage 1 and another with even more boost, Kenny had kept both these maps so we decided to give the one with the higher boost a go, This map should instant results and made 290.9BHP & 325LB/FT :D thats more like it :D They are looking into the stage2 map to see where all the torque went so the full stage 2 might still go on but in the mean time I'm running another "custom" map :D

On the road the car feel's even more savage than before, when I left AmD the roads were very wet and it was dark so I did'nt give it too much but  but the boost certainly comes in a lot stronger, I even had what felt like wheel spin in 6th gear at 60MPH :-o

Big thanks to everyone at AmD Essex

Don't forget mate the engine was probably running hot by the time they managed to get the final map on. Stick it on the rollers at the next rolling road day and I'm sure you will see a bit more. Regardless of numbers that boost curve is bang on, one of the reasons I love my map done by the guys as its all usable with no stupid spikes

It's only running a little bit more torque than it was before but it now holds it longer :D

There will be a RR day at AmD sometime around Feb or March so keep your eye's open

Cheers Tom :D

The car was flying today, nail the throttle and it will put you in the back of the seat like you'd expect, even on half throttle it is devastatingly quick :D hold it at 15ish PSI and it fly's with no effort :D
The exhaust and DV noise has increased aswell :D

The Snow Foam Lance is such a good piece of kit isn't it! I personally use Super Snow Foam with my lance, that gives a very effective covering, without stripping wax etc. I haven't seen the PH neutral product before, so I think I might give this ago next, as it seems to have very good write ups when referring to its strength in cutting through grime effectively; it looks like it got right to it in your pictures?

The car is looking tops as always Darren. Happy New Year!

James.
