Gave the car a run up to Birmingham today, a good 200mile round trip, is a nice feeling to know the car is good for it! A mate also got the above snap of how it sits now, I'm pretty chuffed to be fair! Going to give it a good scrub up also tomorrow!
I also bought some led bulbs for the rear numberplate, improves the look at night no end, just need to sort out some hid's, am thinking a set of 4300k ones...

LCRMartin- tell me about it! Although seeing it looking this clean is definatly motivation to keep it this way for sure!
I also removed the under bonnet matting at the weekend, despite having the standard airbox the effects of the forge 007p are instantly more obvious! Although I still can't wait to get a decent cone filter and heatsheild on there!!

Ever since owning the car the exhaust has hung rather low, after more investigation the backbox mount closer to the front of the car had completely snapped off! This is the exhaust situation before:
Unfortunatly I didn't get any during pics, however with the thanks of my dad we fabricated a complete custom bracket. The best job we could do was pull the exhaust up about 1 inch, however it's actually very close to the original position so I'm extremely happy with the outcome!
I also took this opportunity to get my private plate on, very happy with how it looks and it means the car is staying!

Thanks for all the comments! I had intended not to do anything else until the new year but sometimes it's hard to resist! So this morning I won a brand new 52mm black faced turbosmart boost gauge off the bay for £20!! Having seen this gauge before and being impressed with it I thought it was a decent price! I've also ordered a universal gauge pod that sits in the vent on top of the dash to the right of the steering wheel.
I've heard it's a right PITA to fit in terms of routing the boost hose and wiring in correctly!
I also have read a fair few guides and mixed opinions on the n249 bypass, I was considering seeing the difference in boost through the gears as I understand it restricts
Boost slightly in lower gears. But I'm not convinced of the gains.....

Small update, Got the led number plate bulbs all fitted just hadn't posted a pic, am very happy with them, they tidy the back up no end!
At the weekend also we managed to put another layer of a mates Collinite wax over the car, left it for a good hour to cure so hopefully it should cover the car until early jan atleast as I know it's good stuff!
Now with the bad weather the car has taken a new home overnight in the garage so should help it stay protected!

Your lcr looks lovely. I was looking for a red one initially but no decent ones out there.

Thanks very much! It's hard to find a decent LCR anyway these days let alone if you want a specific colour! For me though the red is where it's at! Looks gorgeous cleaned!
I do miss the Nissan, on the right day in the right weather they were unbelievable things to really drive hard but the seat is literally so much nicer day to day!!
That's what I found coming from jap.... I find you can drive the lcr slow if you want and still quick when you want. Although the only downside I can find is the jap stuff is easier to work on. But I am chuffed with the lcr and glad you are too.
Bit of an update, after picking up a brand new turbosmart boost gauge for £25 delivered I thought I better crack on and get a few jobs done on the car!
After wanting to locate this in the main right air vent I thought better of it as I read a lot of poor fitment reviews. I decided on a turborevs universal gauge pod, it fits perfectly in the top air vent so was a good compromise!
After running the hose through the usual drivers side plastic gromit It was just a case of wiring it into the glovebox using a neat little fuse adapter pictured below
The result once fitted
I also did the n249 bypass an the car definatly feels a lot more responsive now which is good plus I haven't had any warning lights that I'd read about previously!
I also fancied a spot of inlet manifold polishing, after working my way from 40 grit though to wet sanding 1200 grit I was pleased with the result. However then I decided to give it a quick whizz over with my da polisher and a dead compounding pad *loaded with autosol.... I'll let the pics do the talking!
I'm majorly pleased with how it's came out, the finish is amazing with the polisher on it!*
Now for the charge pipe !
