If anyone is thinking about getting some spacers for the front of the car I'd recommend a set of 12mm hubcentric ones, not that I am biased of course ;)

Cheers Tom :) hows my cars twin doing? You managed to get those wheels done yet?

No not yet mate.

At the moment, she's got a faulty knock sensor (or two) giving her grief so they take priority. And then tbh, I fancy getting the bushes/brakes done at last. I think the front of my car has gone lower recently, I'm thinking it's the bushes completely gone now. It doesn't feel too great either lol, so it'll be getting the Superpro treatment when I can get the time to do it.

Looking awesome buddy. The spacers have made a massive change too, and I'm glad you went for hubcentric versions.;)

Where's your front splitter though? Destroyed? :cartman:

Cheers matey. Yeah love the spacers, gives it that extra bit of stance. Wouldn't touch non hubcentric spacers, not worth it especially with how I drive ;)

Errrrr splitter, ahem.................that was left behind one day after a battle with a skyline lol Where it was destroyed I decided to take it off when dropping it on the coilovers and has been off ever since. Car sits very low but doesn't scrap everywhere, if I put the splitter back on it will be constantly hitting. I rather like it without now though, think I have got use to it without

Had a focus RS pinned to my sexy rear yesterday so I thought ok then let's play. Unfortunately it's 1-0 to the Ford. Just as I went to belt it the engine management light came on and the car started running very rough. Poodled it home and scanned it with Vagcom:

After reading about it seems its the coilpacks which have gone (rather usual on these cars), however would be great to get confirmation from anyone? At first I thought it's probably the spark plugs as I have OEM plugs on a stage 2 tuned LCR. I have a set of NGK IRIDIUM spark plugs waiting to go on so guess I'll change both at the same time if it is the coilpacks which require changing.

Need to get these sorted before the AmD RR day next Sunday as there's no way I'm missing that :)

Coil packs mate. An easy DIY fix. The cars looks superb and the stance is spot on.

What size/make spacers are you running. I take its both front and rear???

Thanks for confirming mate. Was going to just get another set of OEM ones or is another brand recommended?

Cheers fella, yup it's 15mm H&R spacers on the rear and 12mm Creation Motorsport spacers on the front which my bro gave me and I'm testing on the car. Seem fine so far

PS was it mk1 or mk2 focus RS ?

Yeah going to get the OEM ones tomorrow hopefully from euro car parts or SC Motor Factors.

Was a Mk1 focus RS but obviously tuned as it seemed to go well. Shame my car decided to do this as it would have been an interesting little tussle

Anyone fancy towing me there lol

Not if my fault code re-appears right before the trip to AmD lol.

Might even take my laptop on the day if it plays up.. Stupid knock sensor still giving me grief. Can't wait to get it replaced after payday!

That's not a bad idea, might as well bring mine along although touch wood iv had no real issues with the car apart from this.

Cool looks like two platinum LCR's are looking for towing partners. Might as well park next to each other as the broken two haha!!!

As said above El, it's defo the coilpacks. Happened to me last year; I went with the Beru coilpacks sold by Eurocarparts. I think they were roughly 28 pounds each - slighlty more expensive, but they came highly recommended by the guys at the store. Very well made and and have been reliable ever since fitment. It is advised that all four packs are replaced at the same time, to avoid further failures and/or rough running.

Hope this helps? The stance of your car, especially at the front, looks soooo nice with the spacers fitted. It's amazing how much of a difference the spacers make isn't it!

James.
