Awesome car you have there. when you fitted the cobra seat how did you get around the airbag light. i have fitted a rair of recaros in my cupra and the light came on as they have no side air bags. i herd you can fool the system by fiting a 4.7 ohm resistor in the plugs under the seats then resetting the fault with vagcom.

Got a position up in durham as a trainee electrical engineering consultant, tiny smidge less money but they are sticking me through uni to do my masters got my eye on a cheap economical car to get me there and back, maybe get one some time next week!

With the airbags, you can code them out with vagcom, my mate did it for me but he said there is a guide in the mk3 cupra FAQ section on here. No resistors or anything, don't like doing that sorta thing, just incase!

have fitted a pair of red wing back recaros from a civic type R anniversary. i am 6' 2" and the std seats felt to high on lowest position and didnt offer much suport. i made my own subframes so they sit about 40mm lower. i am very happy with them and they work well with the black / red interior of my black cupra

Was cheaper than you think! He put 6 months tax on it for me too, so providing it passes MOT in December and nothing goes wrong I should have recovered my money in fuel saved over the next 6 months haha

Gave the daily a good jetwash today, got all the crap out the arches, wheels cleaner etc also got all the dirt/moss out of the rain gutters on the roof and the bit between the boot glass and the boot! Clearly hasn't been cleaned properly in ages! Also hoovered the inside out too, was minging!

She's booked in for oil and filter Saturday. K&n panel filter in the post and allards egr delete pipe, so she's should be running sweet as a nut this time next week! Then just need John to work his magic! Over the moon with it so far, done approx 150 miles and it's great! Filled the tank today too and it says 610 miles to empty

You might be right haha only a few little bits and bobs though as and when stuff pops up cheap! So impressed with it so far, done nearly 250 miles in it so far and returned 64.6mpg average so far! It's pretty nippy too, feels kinda choked though, I reckon the service and air filter should make it feel better, then on with the map

Don't think the oil has been done the past 2 years/17k miles :| itl be getting done at least every 10k with me regardless! 88 miles done on this tank and trip says 620 till empty

Both just chilling! Fuel report so far, 170 miles done since I topped the tank up and reset the trip. Computer says 470 left till empty and the car is just about to touch the 3/4 mark. Trip says 65.4mpg average so far :0 why didn't I do this sooner haha
