Hi Darren,
I know it's been mentioned a lot already but I've been to a few of these shows this year, as within previous years, and time and time again I walk away feeling perplexed by the ‘expected standards’! I’ve enjoyed the shows but for me it has gone all a bit predictable, hasn’t it? Either you have a car that has got BBS chrome splits on with its arse on the ground, or you’ve got a car that’s gone marginally OTT…
There are some amazing cars out there, we will all agree, with amazing attention to detail, which really compliments those cars. In my opinion, it’s down to an uneducated audience. If you were to take your car to a generic show and shine event, where standards of finish were paramount, you would fare well, I’m certain.
It completely demoralises me that a well cared for OEM+ car won’t get a shoe- in, but it’s the nature of the beast I think.
You can take a horse to water but you can’t make the horse drink the water… and all that…
Positive support from forum peers counts for an awful lot in my book Darren, and you bucket loads… Chin up mate, you have produced/are producing a stunning LCR example.
Look forward to more updates
