I'm running a tweaked stage 1 AmD map, TBH it's not far off what the stage 2 make, maybe next year :D

Hi Darren,

I know it's been mentioned a lot already but I've been to a few of these shows this year, as within previous years, and time and time again I walk away feeling perplexed by the ‘expected standards’! I’ve enjoyed the shows but for me it has gone all a bit predictable, hasn’t it? Either you have a car that has got BBS chrome splits on with its arse on the ground, or you’ve got a car that’s gone marginally OTT…

There are some amazing cars out there, we will all agree, with amazing attention to detail, which really compliments those cars. In my opinion, it’s down to an uneducated audience. If you were to take your car to a generic show and shine event, where standards of finish were paramount, you would fare well, I’m certain.

It completely demoralises me that a well cared for OEM+ car won’t get a shoe- in, but it’s the nature of the beast I think.

You can take a horse to water but you can’t make the horse drink the water… and all that…

Positive support from forum peers counts for an awful lot in my book Darren, and you bucket loads… Chin up mate, you have produced/are producing a stunning LCR example.

Look forward to more updates :)

Greasing it did stop the noise but I think I put too much on which might have been why the bush's were working in to the middle of the bar, I've cleaned most of it off now and they've not moved and there's no creaking. yet!!!!

looking good Darren, have you only put 10mm spacers on the rear? what about the front? also do you need longer wheel bolts? something I may consider doing, not sure yet tbh.

your car is looking stunning m8. very impressed :)
the steering wheel looks amazing.

Thanks Sam :D

Interesting choice with the mk4 wheel mate. No doubt great wheel. Staying standard leather?

The R32 wheel is really nice and I got it for a good price, I would prefer to stick with the LCR wheel but mine is quite badly worn and needs a refurb, If I do get mine refurb'd I could refit it and the easily sell the R32 wheel at a later date.
The R32 wheel will be staying as it is, it's almost brand new.

Yeah I've only got them on the back at the moment, they might induce a bit of understeer but they are ment to make the car feel more "planted" at speed's and under bracking, Maz ran the same set up for ages with no adverse problems so I'll see how they go.
My plan is to fit 10mm spacers to the front as and when funds allow (more like when the Mrs says I can have them )
You do need longer bolts aswell mate.

I take it you don't have the forge ones as from memory they did 11mm not 10mm, in which case which ones have you got and where did you get them from? :)

also where did you get your longer wheel bolts from, and how much?

Lastly, is it ok to use 4 longer wheel bolts and the OEM locking wheel nut? (I would have thought you could get away with that?!)

I got them off a mate so I'm not too sure on prices,
I think they might be 11mm  they are Forge one's
In theory you should be alright with only 4 longer bolts but better to be safe than sorry.
AmD or Badger5 should be able to supply you everything you need to fit them.

Cheers for the info on the RARB mate. In regard to the spacers, Forge do funny sizes. I've got 11mm on the front and 16mm on the back where as most other spacers would be 10 and 15.
