I know it's not good is it! It's well short and looks like someone has just cut it rather than remove it properly. Pee'd off was looking forward to fitting them. Let's see if I get any joy with a refund!
^^^ ouch
i tested the bailey dv30 over the forge 007p. both valves work exactly the same, both valves hold boost very well. they are both winners, the bailey was slightly lounder and my mrs thought the car felt faster. either way i recommend both valves and the bailey dv30 is just as good if not slightly better.
Fitted my FR bumper to replace my Cupra R bumper - A downgrade to many but its for the benfit of my Milltek which will fit so much better in the exhaust recess.
Took it for a spirited drive earlier and it was ok though Sam? The Turbosmart DV I've got never fully vents to atmosphere, which I believe stops the limp mode? VAG Com'd earlier too after the run and the only fault was the good old N249 which I've bypassed (along with a dodgy window regulator switch ). The AFR on the Liquid Gauge didn't show anything worrying either? I'll take on board what you've said though bud and will monitor it on the way to Silverstone in the morning
Cool, they can take a little while to pop up but im certain they will. My advice is to revert back and do a ecu reset before going out on track, wouldnt want limp mode when racing lol. Any way good luck and have a great day at trax
I see, did you have a Turbosmart dualport that caused this problem? I'm not trying to shoot holes in your advice, just trying to ascertain if its through experience or through something you've read somewhere? I went for a good hours worth of hard driving and had no faults. If I hit limp mode I'll do a quick reset mid lap with the Liquid Gauge (I hope!)
I had 5 split r dv and a gfp hybrid valve, both types are the same as the turbosmart so im talking from my own experience. The loss of air is already causing the car to run lean if it feels quicker, but this loss of air is actually a boost leak. Boost leaks are not great for performance even if you dont get limp mode.
Took it to garage to have the bearings checked as it sounds like they r going only to find out 3 of my tyres are shaped like a 50pence coin (cheapskate previous owner).
Looked online for some new tyres but still can't decide.
