There are lots of us out there and I'm sure you will get backing from many on this Forum. You can count me in!!
Unfortunately its not just SEAT
All of the VAG Range that offer Diesels ( Skoda,SEAT,VW and Audi) have had the same problems with the PD170, WHY?
Because the PD Engines wernt designed to have the DPF Fitted, This is why VAG has now started using the CR Engines as they where designed to have DPF Fitted
CR Engines have been around for a fair few years now mum and dad have a CR Powered Laguna on an 03 plate , it seems VAG didnt want to use CR and they decided to around 2007ish

I wanted diesel but the DPF issues I had with my last car (Alfa 159) put me off...
I would hope they are taking it for extended test drives and they should be checking the readings of the 3 temp sensors as these will also stop regen if reading incorectly.there have also been 2-3 software updates to improve regen, hopefully they have checked the software version.where do I go from here?
cos lets face it if you were going to buy a diesel from the sort of year 2000range you wouldnt buy anything other than VAG as the rest were a bit poor
I do around 500 motorway miles a week in mine and still get the regeneration happening which makes the car feel like complete crap, no power below 2.5k revs then extremely jerky after that. Never see a warning light though.
I was planning to get a Leon FR TDi CR in around 6 months but this thread has put me off a bit. :-(
I'm I correct in thinking the DPF issues are mainly with the PD engines?
Has anyone with a CR engine had any problems?
My drive to work is approx 20 miles and is a mixture of A Roads and Motorway (around 10 mins on Motorway).
