Think its about time I updated this thread.

Since I got back from holiday on Monday I have ordered a few bits and pieces for the Ibiza. I have a Richbrook Handbrake handle on the way to match my gearknob and I have a Storm Single Wiper Kit on the way aswell which I am looking forward to.

I think that having a holiday and being away from the car for 2 weeks has helped me.

After driving the car for the first time since I got back I had a change of heart/thought. :D

Yes it may not be the fastest/quickest car that there is but its fun to drive and it is mine and it looks rather good I have to say, so there is no need at all to get rid of it..

Plus some new additions.

Like Nazza I also received some parcels today :p

Parcels.jpg

And in the white envelope:
Vinyl1.jpg

Vinyl2.jpg

White Carbon Effect vinyl. I thought of going for the black stuff but I decided to go with something a little different.

And in the green parcel/bag.
SideRepeaters1.jpg

Some black side repeaters. Fancied a change and saw these so bought them.

So I decided to take this:

And do this:

And here it is completed with the bulbs back in and the covers on.

And here it is fitted back into the car.

I am really really happy with how it has turned out , especially for the first time I have wrapped anything using that vinyl. The vinyl is so easy to use and mould around corners with abit of heat. May progress and do a few other pieces. :D

More updates to follow soon! [B)].

Looks like the Ibiza is going to be staying for a good while yet :(. Due to circumstances at work and what Ive had to do to ensure I still have my job I just cant afford another car.

So I am going to do the things that I have planned and bought for the Ibiza then just enjoy it after that.

Currently in the middle of refurbing my front strut brace and fitting my Storm Single wiper kit.

Pictures to follow shortly!!

Well as I was staying at the other halfs this week and I had access to her mums car I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to get a few bits and pieces done.

First job was to remove my strut brace and repaint it.

Currently waiting for the lacquer to harden on it and hopefully it should be fitted again tonight/tomorrow. :D :p

Also started fitting my Storm Kit, but I havent finished doing that yet so some pictures will follow once complete. Got one or two other jobs that will be done aswell. :good:.

Also my car is going in to get the roof done and bonnet fixed on 22nd August. :funk: .

More updates soon.

So over the weekend I managed to get some jobs finished.

I got my newly painted strut brace onto the car with brand new stainless nuts and bolts.

I also managed to get my single wiper fitted and working after one or two issues with it.
PICT0068.jpg

Also I had got bored of my smoked side repeaters so as they are fairly cheap it was time for a change.
Before

After

.

Decided to go for black ones to contrast against the white. :D.

Thats all for now, comments are welcome.

Should have done it while your strut brace was off :p

I cleaned under where the brace was :p, didnt have time to do the whole bay. Tbh it needs a fair bit of work apart from just cleaning.

Looking good mate, but agree with Arun, that bay needs attention ;)

Thanks mate, it will get some attention next month after my MOT as I have a few days off then ;).

craig, any reason why you did it black and not red or another loud colour to make your engine bay more inviting lol???

I thought about going back red or another mad colour but decided to go with a subtle look plus it will match my roof when it gets done next month :funk:. It isnt black, its grey [B)], although it does look more like black in the pics. :headhurt:

Have sorted the Storm Wiper Issue abit, its still rubbing but not as much and it will be ok until I get some shims/washers to space it further from the scuttle tray/panel.

I also hit 134k over the weekend.

:funk:

Then after a clean I fitted my TRS Tow Strap (For show only ).
TowStrap2.jpg

One disappointing thing is that I found a small bit of rust creep coming round onto the rear wing on the rear arches on the driver side of the car :(. Will have to get that looked at.

Gave the Mk2 a clean at the weekend so thought it would be a perfect time to get some pics.

Next job is to get the roof done and maybe start about fitting my sideskirts. Also got the handbrake handle to match my gearknob to go on.
