Drawn up a quick diagram on how I am intending to use the box section. Thought it may come in useful for someone in the future.
Hopefully doing it that way the seat shouldnt be too high as the Sparco frame sits lower than the base of the standard seat. If not I will have to try and design it somehow so that it sits lower in the car.

A little update.
I had a test fit of my seat and frames over the weekend, minus the box section, Have to say I cant wait until I get them in the car.. And they dont sit any higher than the base of the standard seats, its just the back of the seat thats bigger.
Wont take much now to get them in the car and it wont be long as I have 2 days off at the end of the month.
I think I am going to have to notch the box section over the runners so that the seat isnt sitting too high, I think it will be possible to do this, will just have to get the box section cut to length then take it from there.

I will get a decent pic for you later. I found the pics not that great but I took the plunge and bought them and I am glad that I did, they are much better in the flesh. If you get a set I would recommend ordering them direct from Fk as they are half the pricethan the few places in the UK that have them.

I used to work in engineering, well still do just a different position. I am a fully qualified engineer to trade, but now Im 'staff' and price up the work, wasnt through choice but I am very happy with my job now.
I can get a pic without the bubble wrap if you really want. Although it wont be in the car yet.
I work in NDT if you know what that is? We have similar guys who do what you do

Tonight I moved a step closer to getting the seats fitted by starting to modify my frames.
I used masking tape because I fitted the runner to the frame and drew around the back edge and where the hole is then used them to drill the holes. Also had a bracket made up for the front and drilled those holes aswell.
And as promised for Crezz and EnGbudd:

But a year out of my time and I was moved to the estimators job, well not moved, told I was doing it and that was the end of the matter. It was the Managing Director who decided I was to do that job. But Im glad that I am now as Im loving it.

After having a test fit I personally thing the seats are going to be sitting too high when I use the 40 x 20 box section.
So I have came up with these ideas and need opinions. Sorry for the poor paint diagram, thats all I had access to at the time.
I have spoken to a few tradesmen and work and they cant see any reason why either of the above wont work and have no longer term issues. Im more inclined to go for Option 2.
But any feedback on the above is welcomed.

And after doing it I was very very happy, I didnt need to do any of the notching like on the diagram above.. And Ive finally made up my mind what colour my roof is going to be.
. Going to talk to the bodyshop I will be using at some point over the next few days.

Spent around 6 hours cleaning it on Saturday afternoon as it was rather nice and it really needed done.
Products used were as follows:
Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo.
Autoglym Clean Wheels.
Tesco Washmitt (Great product for the price IMO!) using 2 bucket method
Meguiars Drying Towel.
Meguiars Quick Clay Kit.
Autoglym Super Resin Polish.
Autoglym High Definition Wax.
Tesco Groundnut Oil for the plastics (as recommended by Suj) and it does an amazing job and lasts much longer than Back to Black type products.
Rain-X on all of the windows.

Well after a few months of drilling and cutting of my Sparco frames I finally got my interior into the car. And it was a nice weekend that was another reason to get it fitted.

First opinions on the seats are that they are alot more comfortable than the standard seats and are alot more supportive aswell. They are taking abit of getting used to but will be worth it when I do.

Im starting to think its maybe time to sell the Ibiza. 
I know Ive done alot to it etc but it isnt getting any younger and has nearly 132k on the clock.
The only reasons I have for keeping it are that I know the full history of it, I need something thats a good daily an it fits the bill and just have fun with it.
And is it worth spending any more on it?

Sometimes you get so infactuated you forget reality, and throw stupid amounts on it.
I know, I did on mine too.
The money I spent on that, could of got a really nice car, why I am hardly doing anything to the Bora now, except service it, fix broken parts, and run it as a commuter to work.
Money saved = a better car
But follow your heart, or use it as a commuter too and do no more mods to it (looks awesome as it is)?

Unless your going to buy a brand new car I would stick with the ibiza. You know the history and know it's been well looked after and is reliable. I'd say keep it and keep sticking the money in on getting it serviced and preventative maintencance.
Any other used car you buy you always have the risk of the unknown faults etc. Also the cost of keeping the ibiza well serviced and good is much less than depreciation on another new car will be.
