thanks robbie, no i have not sorted it yet, but strangly i took it for a blast a few nights ago and all was well, or might have seemed that way as i havnt driven it for a week. something isnt right going by the logs so i will probably go up to bills pretty soon.

small update on coilovers.

hello all, as i have now done over 150miles with with the coilovers and bushes fitted and tracking done, i can now confirm that i really love the new set up. corning at high speed is so sharp yet no body roll:thumbup:. ride comfort is so good, i can actually hit a pot hole and not break my back compared to the springs fitted before lol. i really am in love with how the car handles and recommend these ap coilovers to anyone.

also today i had a fault code come up, one i had before but many months ago,
16825 EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow

the n80 valve was renewed when i had this fault before, anyone else had this fault and how did you overcome it?
i think this may be the cause to some of my issues that i have had recently, well i hope so.

hello all, another update.
tonight i decided to fit my 034 motorsports coil pack cover. if was easy to fit but did mean taking off the charge pipe and rear bracket. anyway heres a few pics.


first i removed the charge pipe and rear bracket, also i had to cut down the threads on the coil pack clamps as they were stuck up too high.



then i was a case of bolting down the cover and refitting the charge pipe ect.

before anyone says, i wil be having the blank plug on the charge pipe removed and welded over.
i will also get the rocker cover powdercoated in white but im not in to much of a rush for that atm.
overall im really happy with the cover and i like the fact that there pretty rare on here, so makes a nice change.
i do have one slight concern, as i have done the n249 bypass and all i have left is the sensor, i had to move it because it wouldnt fit under the coil pack cover, its now behind the charge pipe,zip tied to the bracket,


is this ok fitted here or should i move it due to heat from the turbo and manifold?

Looking good Sam well done. Not to sure about the n249, looks like it's going to get quite hot back there because of the heat from the turbo etc. I would just keep an eye on it if your going to keep it there. I'm guessing it's difficult to find a good home for it but if I were you I would try and move it, better safe than sorry :).

small update

hello all.
a good friend of mine (nick) gave me his audi tt strut brace on the weekend. he no longer wanted it for his lcr as he didnt fancy drilling his car (lcr).
so i start to trail fitting it, i needed to cut a little piece off to allow the brace to sit under the bonnet lifter.


now in place


now just sat in place


the brace will be powdercoated in white then i will fit it properly to the car :)
anyone know what nuts and bolts are best to use and of course look best, dont want them to rust lol. also any tips on fitting it, i know its easy to fit but some times tips are always good.

one other thing, what resistor do i need to completely remove the n249 valve? link?

Jack the car up when tightening the nuts, the wheels will drop out the arches making it easier to get access. Apart from that looks like you've got it sorted mate.

Edit: Drill pilot holes first.
