That does make sense and was bought up by someone else. I was reading some articles about the TFSI, and the design and tech brief of the targets that the engineers had to hit the other night. It appears that the Audi engineers with the TFSI deliberately design the engines to run extremely hot and extremely lean, as its how they get good MPG and emissions from the engines.

I mean compare the 2.0TFSI emissions to that of a 280hp mitsu evo 2.0T and the emissions and MPG are drastically different.

On a BT 2.0TFSI a member did comment he struggles to get his EGTs above 850 degrees c on a GT30 running 440hp. It will be interesting to see the EGTs of that car once he does the internals and uses the turbo to its full potential.

On the 2.5TFSI with a milltek DP and no cats, my EGTs will easily rise to over 900 degrees C when going on a long WOT run though all the gears, once off WOT the EGTs drop quickly but things are getting hot non the less. I understand the Loba hybrid for the TTRS is ported, so I wonder what EGTs will be like with one if their turbos fitted, it should in essense be lower?

Can you not pump a bit more fuel in to lower the EGT's?

Yeah the ecu does that automatically once EGTs git the trigger point of what I think is 850 degrees, it starts to run richer and subsequently loose power :(

Its available to buy, any firm who will do you a one off map can map it for you.

Just got told by mrc it isnt running 1.2 bar of boost though, damn them and their word trickery, they wont disclose what level of boost they were running as they dont want to give away their tuning secrets. Only way to find out though I suppose is to ring MRC and ask them if the turbo was pushed to its limits or if it was a conservative tune.
