I've found the rear set up of the car a little bit too hard with the rear sitting as low as it was, The car also felt unstable at high speeds which I think was due to the rear being 15mm lower than the front, to compensate for this I have now raised the rear buy 15mm so the car now sitting level, I've also changed the rear ARB from the middle setting to the softest.
Before the coilovers went on the ride height was 670mm on all four corners from the floor to the top of the wheel arch, it is now sitting at 640mm on all four corner's, a drop of 30mm :D
I've not had a chance to try it out fully but the rear feels better over the bumps, I'm not sure how much of this is due the ride height or the ARB adjustment.

Looks superb mate.

Good job levelling out the ride height, I'm sure it'll feel better at higher speeds now for sure.

Keeping an eye on how you keep the ARBs setup as mine will be getting bought in the upcoming months :)

I also found the rear very stiff after coilovers and bracing added and softened rear ARB
Hopefully wont be long until it goes for corner weighting then might try playing around with ARB settings

Looks great Darren

Quick question for you mate, did AMD apply anything to the coilovers to help with corrosion? Got my Weitec Coilovers sitting in the office begging to be put on asap

Interestingly the best setup for suspension stability and handling is to have the rear sitting slightly higher than the rear. On my old Jap cars this was always the way they set them up for me.

EL, just grease them up with white grease or something similar. To keep them fresh, pressure wash them every 3mths or so a reapply the grease.

They did'nt put anything extra on mine but they are pretty oily, I am going to grease them up soon though.

Thats how I want to set mine up but I dont really want to raise the rear anymore and I dont think I'll get away with droping the front much more

I've got a bit more done on the new washer and coolent cover.

e266fcba.jpg

The cover has now been wraped in "Pro finish" Carbon Fibre cloth and the coated with 3 coats of clear resin.
The "Pro Finish" Carbon is ment to be easier to work with, it has a light adhesive coating on it to prevent the weave from coming apart when being handled or cut, this allows you to do nice straight cuts and joint's which with normal Carbon Fibre is very dificult to achive.
The only down side is the coating make's the Carbon less willing to form tight shapes and curve's.

The next stage will be to rub it all down again, check it still fit's and then a few coats of clear Lacquire.
