Great pics, space those rears now!

Don't want to sound like a weirdo so bare with me....

1 year ago when I needed to change cars and decided on the LCR I joined here and was all set on a red one as my GTA was silver. Then your thread got read and changed my mind as I knew I needed silver again.

I have become addicted to skinning due to this thread and I never thought I would lower the LCR but now I know I have to as yours looks great sitting there.

As I said didn't want to sound like I'm bumming the car mate but it's spot on

I believe I'm the 1st person to be taken out in the car post-lowering..

Cheers for popping by earlier mate... Here are the pics I got on the iphone. Shame we had no SLR to hand, but it looks the nuts.

It felt great for the 1st day after having them fitted. Very sure footed and minimal roll. Once they settle it's going to be sweet.

It was good to get your feed back on the ride comfort Tom.
Pictures came out pretty well too :D

Thanks Tyrer :D I remember you saying about wanting a red one, I orginally wanted a Black one but I'm so glad I got Silver now :D

The Carbon Skining is addictive, just stay with in your limitation's ;) I made the mistake of doing something to complicated to early and wasted loads of Carbon

Finally Darren, looks great :). In regards to the rear, I had the same issue and raised it around 10mm at the back which resulted in a better looking stance and a better balanced ride. I HATE C-Spanners and so will you after you've done this so I wish you luck and keep calm :D.

I have used some thick card to extend the cover out to meet the wing, it was then coated in resin and left to harden and then another coat of resin and a layer of Carbon Fibre.

I then had to trim a bit off the underside so it would clear the Carbon canistor.

The next stage will be to sand the whole cover, the weave on the cloth is very rough, this will also show up where the low spot's are, these will then be filled with P38 filler, then another rub down and then it will be wraped in the same carbon cloth as the rest of the engine cover's.

You gona keep the forge engine cover or make your own
The weave looks goldish compared to yours

No mate the Forge cover will be staying, I think the reason it's gone yellow is cos you need to use special resins on parts that come into contact with higher temperature's, I might have a word with Forge and see what they say.

Impressive stuff, cant wait to see it all finished. That engine bay is a credit to you, as is the rest of car. :)

Thanks James :D I think after this bit I need to stop or risk going over the top

Yeah i know what you mean, it's a fine balance. You have pretty much every must have mod on your car.

Once it's as you want it all you need to do is maintain and enjoy it.

Really nice additions Darren. The suspension really does finish off the car superbly. The expansion cover looks as if it was made that way. Look forward to seeing it with its weave and top coat on. Great work. A true bench mark!

James :)
