cheers for all the comments the car has been neglected in my garage for 6 months without being touched after the manifold on there ripped the studs off so i took the hint and now after waiting 3 months for my manifold to be made its still not done so im picking up a tsr tubilar manifold next week at ultimate dubs and then the work will begin on getting the paint sorted on it and get the motor back in and running only thing is i poached the wheels off the car for my van lol so now my astra van has wheels on it worth more than the van haha

on another note my green trs 4point harnesses to match the tow strap turned up after 4 months of waiting again!! so now its all go now the weather is picking up as i need this car to bring me some smiles back big updates coming soon

lol i said no rush but i ment no rush as in i cant get money together quick enough but soon sorted that surelly 6months is long enough lol, we get told no rush in work to though but then they turn up expecting it done in a week which is unacceptable you've got to have a few weeks/ months to do a mani its not easy as charlie found out but ive had the cash waiting for months now and its getting spent on other things now haha

im on weitec hicon gtx i think m8 its not even all the way down YET lol

got these for a steal the person i bought them off paid £1200 for the pair and theyre still brand new never been in a car came with side mounts the lot and weigh nothing atall very happy

went to ultimate dubs went straight to tsr stall for my manifold to be told the same thing i been hearing for months 'no manifold the guy making them could not get them to us in time it'll be next week now' typical

engine bay is stripped now and im off to do some work to it now and remove the brake servo and all pipes then get on with de-greasing the bay some more before i decide what colour its going

yes it will be going lower once i flare the arches a bit still thinking about some new wheels but ill sort that out once i have got the car painted.

still undecided on colour haha may do the whole car red again but then may paint the bay red and paint the body dark gunmetal grey or white.

i do like the d90's but a few people have them on the cupra's thy look nice but im more into the motorsport
few pics from taking my car to work and getting some work done to it

the pics are with the bay in etch primer this was to stop it rusting over the space of a week as i have to tow it to my work as i cant use the garage as we have alot of customers cars there through the week today the whole bay will be de-sealered and should be in 2pac, by the time the weekend is out the engine bay will be painted in a nice dark metalic grey and will be doing some tucking of the wires just need some info on it haha

and a pic of my daily astra van bought for cheap then bought an astra coupe 2.2 to break resulting in me making a few ££££s and having alot of tidy parts for the van for free and then picking up some coilovers for £80 it now looks like this

will be 5 studing the van as they came off the coupe and were free haha and just bought some mercedes wheels 17s in 7.5 and 8.5 wide so i can have my compomotives back for the car.

after a long and tiring weekend prepping my engine bay and removing all the sealer i have now got my engine bay in primer was a mammoth task and had 2 of us on it doing it but its done, all it needs now is a quick flat and then some paint and she can have the engine put back in and get her to some shows and enjoy the rest of summer driving it

Nice work, the engine bay is a right pig to flatten down, alot of bits sticking out! Where did you get the wheel and boss from? Want one for mine but can't seem to find one that I like and that fits!

Decided on a colour yet? Should have removed the brackets that aren't used on the turrets.

cheers for the comments it was a mare to do i was going to remove all the brackets but decided that ill need to use a few just removed the ones i didnt need

got the steering wheel from a stall in santa pod its an omp one goes well with my flocked dash etc and got the boss off ebay it was off a cupra up for £35 buy it now so offered him £20 so had a few squid off

the bay has now been painted in bmw steel grey looks a real nice colour now its been painted had a change of plan the day i had to paint it lol it was supposed to go bmw titan grey but i thought in my head it was a bit to much blue in the paint for my liking so spent the whole previous night looking on pistonheads for a colour of m3 i liked and im so glad i had the steel grey not the titan grey now

the rear arches have been flared on the back so are about an inch further out than seat intended but ill be filling the space with some more lowering and lower offset wheels on the rear to give it a wider track

i think its staying red now just painted my new wheels for the van in lp3g which is flash red and i think it'll look good in red again, i have flushed my numberplate surround off the front bumper but kept the moulding on as i think it looks better and the front and rear mouldings will be painted in the same shade of bmw grey as its not far off the original colour of the textured stuff.

still unsure on wheel colour think it may be white again but thinking about doing the 2 on one side anthracite and the other side white as i cant decide lol, wouldn't mind some new wheels though some rota grid drift's 8x16 et10 to get me some stance and to fill my newly rolled and flared arches

just bought another set of wheels that a really wanted but shouldn't of got them really as i need to buy a manifold but as always my keen eye for a bargain got the better of me and ended up with some rota grid drift 8x16 et10 in bronze and come with 165-40/16, the tyres will be sold as i dont want to drive my car that'll be in the high 300hp mark with these skinny ass tyres that only just about make it to the rim lol

so im either going to get some track tyres put on them in 205 40 16 or some 195 40 16s only thing is i have 6 sets of wheels now and 2 cars to put them on lol

Just think of them all as various pairs of socks, you wouldn't wear the same ones all the time.

Nice Mk3 too, I also like the MO's on your van too, they set it off well.
