Cheers Paul, The FMIC really did help with flow, i think i went from 245g/s to 255gs after this went on, more over i stopped losing PSi across the core, the old Toyo FMIC was maxed out and definetly a bottleneck.

BTW the version 2 of the CR hybrid turbo doesn't surge because of the cut back turbine and they used a 2280 wheel, unfortunetly it doesn't flow that well either, only good for 310bhp.

I will be getting a new hybrid make up in the next few weeks with a 7% cut back on the turbine with a 2283 wheel, it should flow more air and hopefully won't surge.

You still got the turbo gasket, i'm gonna need one?

Hi mine has still to be mapped got a few faults to sort out 1st, on my liquid gauge timing got to 60 in 6 seconds flat and that's with car pushing 200 bhp and 205 lbs ft torque :) can't wait to get some power, if faults don't come up should be in for mapping but garage Is sure it's a wire that's broke, it's finding the bugger :(

I'm sure my turbos the 2283 wheel and also I havnt had turbines cut back, I'm using a 1 bar actuator too,
Who you getting your turbo from?

Did a bit of logging yesterday, could only do it in 3rd because the fuzz were about the place.Some interesting figures made, 323bhp worth of airflow, the torque spike isn't as high as in 4th but then again these are only projected figures based on airflow.Still i think this hybrid tune is pretty much done.

Another note, you can see the timing is way done on the top end, this is because the WMI is temporaily off the car :-(

Pretty good Rob. I think the Forge fmic probably remove a restriction somewhere. I recall you saying you would be more than happy with 320BHP?

Yeah the Forge FMIC really did help it realise its potential.TBO its a bitter sweet, the first hybrid had so much potential to flow 340bhp but it was surging :( This hybrid is pretty much maxed out to the b0llix, it literally cannot flow anymore.(if only we could get around the V1 hybrid surging, (stayed tuned[B)])
Boost is 1.8/9bar down to 1.4/5 at 7k rpm, duty cycles are just stupid high at this level, i.e the wastegate might as well be welded shut, still the EGT's are not to bad 930c region, which is acceptable IMO(highest with WMI was 840c!!)

Overall i am pretty happy, but the real test comes when i actually get it on a dyno to see how these calculations are translating to the wheels, if their decent i will be doing full write up for peeps regarding the hybrids, lessons learned etc....

In the mean time my WMI is still disconnected so i am lossing power through timing.I spend some time tonight drawing up a 15mm spacer to go between the Intake manifold and the TB, here it is: (rough sketch btw)

Also looking at Ronin225 RR and he did a sweet battery relocation to the boot, this is next for me as i want to get rid of that stupid S bend from MAP sensor pipe to the TB and just have a straight run, oh and it will be shiny :lol:

I have no problem cleaning your car, but you couldn't afford it :lol:

robbie you not thought about getting the solernoid to stop they water meth being drawn out under vaccum,

I don;t think it was being drawn on vacuum, DO have now said putting the nozzle after the FMIC is to low and it will pool :confused: Also when the TB was being closed coming off throttle it was getting covered in meth, i know this cause i inspected it straight after a run.My new spacer arrives thursday, i'll put up pics but its gonna be nice, cast aluminum [B)] I'll get pics up etc... i can get one made for you if you like?

Where is your MBC located Rob? Willy mentioned that the springs expand from the heat so he relocated to cold area of the bay...

where you going to move the nozzle too?

I will get my one tomorrow, i will get pics up etc...I plan on mounting the nozzle between the Intake Manifold and the Throttle body.It has several advantages for me and maybe others.

1.Water/meth ingress into the TB will be minimized and DV if not eliminated.
2.Pooling on my cooler and droplets in the IC pipework will be eliminated.
3.Easier maintenance of the nozzle, (no need to take the bumper off each time!)
4.Proper mounting of the nozzle so the spray is not compromised, better atomization.

Also never heard of the springs expanding due to heat, i doubt it but would love to see info on this, you will be passing charge air straight from the charge pipe through it so no matter where you put it, it will heat up.

Is it not same argument for the DV relocation though? I remember touching a DV is the 'default position' and it was hot after a hoon around. When it was relocated it was stone cold after a hoon.

I am sure more qualified people have the answer :)
