Hi all,

Just bringing this thread back to life !

Fiddling on with my Scangauge II, is it possible to have the "average mpg this journey", showing on the main screen ? - i can only access it by going to main menu - current - trip. I'd prefer to have it showing on the main screen where i can view another 3 data items at the same time.

Best Regards,
Andy

Hi xd, yep sorry i've just read the manual (didn't think of starting there first!), working a treat now !

Also noticed the feet/second speeds now work with the Ibiza mk5, whereas they didn't with the Leon Cupra!.

Cheers,
Andy

Hi folks,

The ft/sec is working, however it's a little bit off. It is showing 85ft/sec at 60mph. I calculate it should be 88ft/sec. Not sure how i correct it. Any ideas ?

Best Regards,
Andy

I've been looking at these, are they worth the money?

After doing a search it seems they give strange BHP readings?

What are they actually good for in realistic terms?

Nah, i really like mine, got mine set for Average MPG, BHP, Speed and MTT (Miles Travelled Today), it's accurate with my setup!

Morning

i need a little help

got a scanguage 2 for my birthday :)

been looking at it this morning put it on MAP and it show 14.6 to 14.8 PSI

looking at your boost details for Xgauge

GAUGE: BOOST (TURBO)
CONF?: YES - 2001 Jetta TDI
UNITS: PSI
->TXD: 68 6A F1 01 0B
->RXF: 04 41 85 0B 00 00
->RXD: 28 08
->MTH: 00 91 00 64 FF 71
->NAM: BST
NOTES: THIS WORKS FOR TDIs, NOT SURE ABOUT GAS TURBOS, IT USES MAP. REPLACE FF 71 (14.3 PSI) WITH 2'S COMPLIMENT OF LOCAL ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE IN PSI (YOU CAN ADJUST THE NUMBER SO BOOST IS 0 AT IDLE). MATH IS #*145/100-143 (CONVERTS KPa -> PSI), SUBTRACTS ATM PRESS IN PSI

i got confused lol

you say replace the FF 71 with 14.3 with 2's Comlpiment... WTF does that mean lol.

please help. if you want me to get accurate reading of what my MAP is show standard just say ill go get another one

Thanks

Lee

ruled out the liquid gauge as i don't wanna lose the vent at the drivers door, plus the scan gauge is cheaper

i'm thinking about removing the centre vents to fit 3 gauge pods as i never use these vents, only use the ones on either side at the doors to aid de-misting the front windows
was going to fit an oil pressure gauge, oil temp gauge and an air/fuel gauge there as i already have a boost guage fitting on my A pillar

was thinking about removing the cup holder as this looks like the perfect size to fit the scangauge in

Right couple of questions really, as I dont have the manual;

- I want to set the gauge to read the BHP and boost on a PD130, which from what i have read it will do.
- I'm guessing the list of settings are just for me to input into the gauge somewhere?
- I've seen this about calculations, and 2's compliment, which I dont understand, do i need to 'set up' to suit my car or are they generic input settings to produce the gauge.

Thanks,

Jimski
