Head job – new followers, custom grind cam, new cam bearings, head gasket, bolts etc:

Testing:

I wanted to confirm that I have enough fuel pressure for the new power target.

Rolling road result

Pushing the R783’s well over the limits I managed this (I'm hoping to replace these in the future):

Simply because i've spent alot of time and money getting the result. Therefore would like to enjoy some level of uniqueness. Hope that doesnt sound rude.

Amazing results bobby, credit to you for getting it all done.

I know what your saying about uniqueness and all (we all can ask certain people on tdiclub) but this is whats holidng back the deisel scene in the UK tbh. I made a point of documenting everything to help everyone.

Anyway thanks for sharing the results nevertheless.

Thanks Jonjay :)
In the early day i use to document everything but that power was relatively cheap. But now things are very expensive and takes alot of playing around.

I even bought a spare ARL to find material thickness etc. Cut pistons in half to find oil paths etc

I have initiated contact with a few people from tdilcub to help me with the next step. Hopefully this bears fruit on the months to come.

Ray on UKMKIVs said we were all going to meet up at some point? any idea when this is going to happen?

March 2011 – This is how you blow a 2260
In attempt to get smokefree power I tried 2.7 bar – lets just say its not recommended:

April 2011
New 2260 fitted & bigger custom nozzles fitted to newly built injector bodies:

Boost is now set to 2.2 bar (which is the max I recommend for this turbo)
