Well after an incident with a stupid pheasant. I have had to take the Fk badgeless grille off. I had to put the standard back on but before I did I did something different with the badge.

I bet the ice killed it mate, the pulley on the mazda has been making a hell of a squeal on the icy starts. After some investigation there was ice on the pully causing it to slip.
I'm fortunate with the mazda though, it has two accessory belts and a cambelt so if one goes its not so terrible.
