Hey guys :)

I have acquired a good quality 5-7 year vinyl to match my side decals so was gonna have a crack at wrapping the roof.

I am quite handy with a bit of DIY but if it all goes tits up im not too much out of pocket :)

Anyone done this themselves and can some pics be provided pretty please! ?? Im interested in how the side was trimmed as there is nothing to tuck it into :)

Cheers!!

Thats the only area you might struggling, cutting a clean line downt the sides of the roof.

Just use a heat gun or hair dryer and a very sharp scalpel. You will definatley need two of you.

Thanks for the pics! Looks really good!

Well I am all one for a challenge :) You dont have a close up of the edges do you so I can see where they cut to do yours??

I have a rather unwilling helper and a hair dryer on standby :)

try a few practice cuts with the vinyl on something metal, not the car!, to get a feel for how much pressure you'll need.
you only need enough to cut the vinyl, not through the paint.
'yeh right' obvious you're thinking? surprising how many cut marks you see 3-4 yrs down the line when you strip something

another little trick...use tape preferably a vinyl type, masking at a push, put on car where you want to cut, fit vinyl then you will see where to cut to

Thanks :) Oh I intend on a couple of practise runs, I can only imagine the amount of damage I can cause!

Excellent tip, thanks for that.. if you can think of any others PLEASE let me know!

Ive gone for a charcoal colour similar to my decals and its got a nice sparkle to it so hopefully compliment the colour of the car better than just black.
