dont mean to go off topic again.

but im considering putting on the mk3 splitter.
hear me out though.

the current splitter i have on, curves in, so from the front it looks like its just a black bit of plastic(see picture)
so is a mk3 splitter just clip on?
i have one out the back from my old mk3.

Mk3 splitter probably won't fit directly, maybe after a few mods

Why not just get a gti splitter?

i thought it just clips on. but it hasnt stopped raining since yesterday here, so cant try it out.

The bumpers on the mk2 and 3 are different so different fittings im guessing

Before

They are getting a bit worn and are starting to peel off at the ends.

After:

(it's not looking too clean, didn't get time to wash as well!)

Wouldn't advise on removing them, left some marks and lacquer was peeling around some of them.
The rear drivers side door was bad because I've had it sprayed before so that needs some work doing, just more rubbing down and should look okay other wise it'll be going back to the sprayshop.

Looks really good! Think I'll leave mine on since my lacquer is always peeling everywhere anyway. I'd probably pull half of the paint off with them... Looks so much better without the strips though :/

Got the centercaps by the way. Really need to paint them, at least 2 of them are really bad, oh well. I'll try them on later in the week since I got too much darned homework, and I got exam week... As long as I get my assignments done in time(which is tomorrow at 13:00...) *sigh*... Studying game design.. Wish it was as easy as it sounds!

You want to fit a standard mk3 splitter?

It is possible, I've had one on mine before, some of the tabs don't line up with the bumper so see which ones and cut them off then get some cable ties from behind and loop them around the tabs. Tbh tho the gti splitter is loads better as it fits in with the lines of the bumper grills
