Tuning part 1 :-(
Well it was a disappointing day, I should have known from the minute i got up there was a power cut, then i got stuck on the motorway for extra 2hrs due to a lorry shedding its load.
So eventually i got to the tuner, 3hrs late!! this already put us behind.
After many different files we tried today, we could not get this CR k04 to flow more than 256g/s, you think 256 g/s * 1.25 = 320bhp, NO, it did not translate to the dyno at all. This turbo is a spiky Mo Fo, its currently hitting 1.9ar and 1.5bar at red line, the Forge Unos MBC needs a softer spring, it was not bleeding the boost off at all and the N75 struggled and still is to control boost.
While the logs look outstanding, 256g/s, 1.5bar at redline, it is not translating to the dyno, it only pulled 284hp and a linear 280lb/ft at 3500rpm to 5800rpm, it feels so much quicker on the road, so confused.
While we had limited time today and obviously i WILL need to go back, but i could see the tuner even confused by these results.
I would really appreciate your thoughts guys, i remember Bill started off with Steve's hybrid with similar results but i am not sure how he got around it to the staggering 280g/s it started pulling.
