What an evening, I just got back from picking up my car and all I can say is holy fu$k its awesome, as it stands it is completely uncivilised and just angry, I had a 50miles journey to collect it and i had to take it easy most of the way, on some of the slower roads my curiosity got the best of me and I gave the throttle a little blip here and there, i cannot believe how well this flows and how fast the spool is, its completely savage.

I will post pics of the stuff that was removed tomorrow but is in shockingly got condition, i guess it has only 40k on it.

Early start tomorrow, will be at the tuners all day to see what we can get out of here, if i have internet access i will post up power runs as we do them, it should be very very interested.

Tuning part 1 :-(

Well it was a disappointing day, I should have known from the minute i got up there was a power cut, then i got stuck on the motorway for extra 2hrs due to a lorry shedding its load.

So eventually i got to the tuner, 3hrs late!! this already put us behind.

After many different files we tried today, we could not get this CR k04 to flow more than 256g/s, you think 256 g/s * 1.25 = 320bhp, NO, it did not translate to the dyno at all. This turbo is a spiky Mo Fo, its currently hitting 1.9ar and 1.5bar at red line, the Forge Unos MBC needs a softer spring, it was not bleeding the boost off at all and the N75 struggled and still is to control boost.

While the logs look outstanding, 256g/s, 1.5bar at redline, it is not translating to the dyno, it only pulled 284hp and a linear 280lb/ft at 3500rpm to 5800rpm, it feels so much quicker on the road, so confused.

While we had limited time today and obviously i WILL need to go back, but i could see the tuner even confused by these results.

I would really appreciate your thoughts guys, i remember Bill started off with Steve's hybrid with similar results but i am not sure how he got around it to the staggering 280g/s it started pulling.

Your main problem i recon is your actuator pressure is set too high which causes very spikey control. Test it with a pump and it will probably measure 1 bar, this is too high and best replaced with a 9psi version which will control the spiking way better.
It sounds like your using an honest dyno which would probably report stage2 LCR's at around 260bhp so in context your gains are good.
The flat torque curve is what its all about, don't be too downbeat your setup rocks it just needs a few subtle tweaks to break into the genuine 300 bhp league.

Its a super honest Dyno, i can live with this, the torque really translates well to the road alright, but it only made 6hp more than what it did on a stage2 with WMI, WTF.

Yeah i got the 9psi actuator as per Bill recommendation.

Hate to say it but TOLD YOU SO :)
BS, Rome wasn't build in a day and this was only 4hrs on the dyno, Bill has already proven what can be achieved with these Hybrids.

Its weirds, it super rapid on the road, i spun up in 3rd on the way home on good tarmac in the dry and good warmed up tyres, the logs are good, but the dyno is not giving the figure.

I have always used this Dyno, i always try and use the same dyno.I need to check out the actuator.Is testing it hard to do Willy?

Dead easy mate, get a bike / car pump and connect to actuator nipple and slowly inflate until actuator initiates first movement and note the pessure measured...... job done.
You see mr Smith in Dan's case Jelousy is a terrible thing. :bleh:

Oh I'm so not jealous as if a hybrid was worth it I would have one , but there not hence I don't , Gt28 arnt that bad and when that power does kick in you will have a bigger smile than the joker , either way who's cares it's not my car/money etc just stating what I said in the 1st place
