Don't think my refurb will be half as good as that haha quick clean and a blastwith lacquer :p I nearly bought a liquid today, didn't realise they did all inlet temps and airflow meter readings etc!

yeah the gauge looks nice but as no engine in there still no electrics so cant turn it on yet, i got it for air fuel rartio before i take it to my mapper. hes going to put a base map on well i run he engine in then can have it mapped properly. cant wait should hopefully get a call tommorro.

you going to paint yours red again? and im sure yours will look fine,. a few guides on doing referbs for brembo on here.

Should just be able to clean them and just lacquer an it brings them out red again according to the refurb guides. Use te car every day though so not sure when itl happen!

Yeh like a low boost base map to bed it in? Itl be able to take some abuse once it's bedded the rings in etc mind!

You having the limiter raised? Itl be able to take it no problem now the valves are swapped out for decent ones

well i want it to peak at 7k like bills hybrid he mapped but hoping the ported and polished head helps for power up the top end. i want the redline at 8k would sound awesome i think :)

when bedding in rings i guess want to use the engine toque? and im guessing thats the only thing that needs bedding in.

Scott, i found doing them on the car was a Pain in the A$$, they never really turn out right, its only good for a touch up IMO.

@Paul, any plans to install a EGT monitor or will the liquid guage take care of this to, i'm paranoid about running up the EGT's to 1000c on those power runs.

Alistair will talk you through bedding it all in, usually just says have a blast down country lanes where you go up and down gears etc and use as much of the rev range as possible. He was telling me some people have just gone and sat on the motorway at constant revs etc before but never works out right really!

8k redlined sounds mint, will be dead fun!

And cheers for the brake info mate, think I will just end up touching them up as will probably end up selling next year. Tempted to buy the set off eBay at the mo and refurbish them fully but may be wasted money, hmmmm

robbie the liquid gauge does that too. get one there meant to be really good , :)

i got mine to keep and eye on things till i get map sorted, with the water meth what egt you been getting?

I did 6 power runs the other night one after the other, so on the last one i monitored the EGT's max i seen was 860c which is good IMO.

Yeah, it should only kick in under high load otherwise you will need to tow a trailer full of the stuff. When i installed WMI my car was already at the limits of what it could do(safely anyway), WMI got me about 15bhp and 20lbft with zero knock, i got this extra power purely from timing, but more to the point i knew i was going hybrid so it will really help get the figures on the new setup.
