just picked up the clutch

should be fine for the hybrid and maybe even big turbo if decide to go that was in future, kept the dual mass flywheel as know so many people hate the smf,

What make is that ? I would have binned the dmf ,

its a sachs one mate an spoke to a few people and they all hate the one piece flywheel so thought would stick with the oem one,

Popped into work mate and engines looking mint! Short motor is built up and heads ready to go together. Looks awesome! I'll see if I can get in on the action tomorrow lol got a couple of pics so will upload them later but alistair has been taking some for you he said

I'll get some of the head today, was all ready to be built yesterday. Stem seals were on with the new little extra platforms for the 2nd smaller valve spring. Them springs and retainers look an awesome bit of kit by the way.

cheers mate looks good just picked up gearbox with diff fitted in so hopefully in a week engine will be near finish and not to far away from being installed back into the car

and i havnt even seen the springs and retainers they were sent while i was i afghan

i also got the part no for that switch will stick it up later, cost £12 and its the winter button or something, stops wheels wpinning in wet on the golfs.

Yeh my dads golf has got it on, locks the diff. Told him to drive with it on all the time haha

Heads all built up now mate, looks mint. Few more bits are on the short motor too so not all that much longer to go!

Few piccies of the head, forgot to get one of the underside whole thing is clean enough to eat your tea off haha

He said there was loads to take out of the inlet ports like, said it was difficult aswell! He's done some ferarri heads before for a v8 which are 20 valves per head but said the vag 20v heads are much more difficult lol

lol i have a few crazy plans for the car, will see what can push the hybrid to with the water meth and high flow mani then next i want a gt30 i think but we will see

hi mate yeah its at my parents house but i work up in catterick duing the week so cant see it till fri lol. you grinded yours yet? i got some thermotec exhaust wrap will put that beetween the turbo and mani i think
