It would be interesting to know - what is the difference between the lap time before and after modifications.

Well today I spent driving the car and giving it sh!t everywhere..... the car doesn't stop pulling now it's always sitting at 5-6k after each gear change. Found out it tops out at just shy of 120mph which is a bit less than I had worked out (127mph) can see that causing a problem on some tracks but it did have a 5.08FD before which it came from one of the VW Cup cars if it was good enough for that it should be perfect for me with the 4.7FD instead.

70mph on the motorway I'm sitting at about 4800rpm lmao..... and I'm thinking of another trip to "the 'ring" next year that's going to be loud and expensive on petrol hehe.

As I promised better pics of the shifter and how the cables are run. Also brought a Quaife nylon gear knob;

Gutted for him.

Well the car spent the day on the trailer..... went to do the sound test and failed, oddly I been to combe for the past 3 or 4 years and was at the Spring Performance Action Day and passed with no problems but this time I had 103dB and the limit was 100dB.

But there were only a hand full of cars out at one time and the track was sooo quiet when you compared it to Performance Car Action Day there's 30 cars out all the time!.

Gutted really, couldn't get my money back but managed to be able to use it was "credit" with BHP Trackdays so use it another day/else where.

I've been out at Combe with my current set up... only thing that's changed since last time is the gearbox and that won't alter dB's!

They reckon it was calibrated this morning! So they say.

thats probally why you failed then as maybe last time it had been a while since it had been calibrated.
you would think they would let it go through for the sake of 3dbs as that could easily be gained,did you drive it there last time maybe that could have somthing to do with it not being as warm possible.
