You can just lacquer over the callipers and it brings them back up red again. Someone did a tutorial on the brembo callipers. Seen someone spray them with red hammerite too and they did look mint!

What videos do you want al? Won't be doing any launches, really don't think the standard clutch can take 4k rpm launches! Last time I tried, it got a little hot haha all fine now though and don't fancy pushing my luck with it. Will get solid flywheel and better clutch at some point though!

Don't talk rubbish lol. I've done 10+ consecutive launches at Santa Pod with my hybrid turbo on standard clutch and not a hint of slip I'm sure you're car will take at least one launch control start!

Lol, shush you! It's just a really good smooth map with no massive torque spikes...thats what I keep telling myself anyway

Ive done about 5-6 launches since its had launch control on it and friday night i did 2 on the way back from the gf's and second time all i got was clutch slip then on the way home after as soon as it boosted it just slipped. Went to work early in the morning so i could go for a blast in it and try get the glaze off the clutch and it only slipped in 5th at low speeds when it boosted, so was getting better, now it doesnt at all again even when i was having alterations on the map John didnt mention anything about slip, so its fine now, just dont want to risk it by doing 4k rpm launches again.

The G60 & VR6 setup is awsome for stage 2/hybrid, just such a strong bite

And with the lightened flywheel it will boost even quicker and just want to rev from any RPM in ant gear....

Was yours lightened? I'm going to keep a look out on e38 from now on for one and eBay etc

I seen the part number for the bolts on my search too, about 12 quid for them I think

2nd this Scott im running this setup and as soon as your foot touches the throttle it just wants to rev my 5th gear pulls like my old standard 3rd gear sitting at the right revs :|

Haha class found part numbers for everything now and standard oem LUK/ Sachs clutch, not all too expensive. Just fitting costs arnt cool haha

Half tempted to wait a few months and get a diff and get the clutch, flywheel and diff done at the same time. Just allot of dosh haha

It makes sense to do the diff at the same time but it is costly but worth it! Every time i get in the motor the TC gets switched off

It's like 600 for the diff isn't it, then another 200 off for all the fitting parts, plus fitting?

Shame your too far away! I always have TC off but it's just stupid in the wet!

Just ordered some ds2500 pads, 100 quid delivered so not as bad as some of the prices i saw when searching!

Emailed a company about vr6 sachs clutch, found the 3 piece kit for 90 quid. Enquiry is with SERE Motors for flywheel and pressure plate bolts, oem discs and g60 flywheel. Though i think the flywheel will be damn expensive new so im keeping a look out for a 2nd hand g60/abf flywheel

Think i may have found myself a flywheel, bloody hard to find for a decent price :| need to get that lightened and balanced, will get the clutch cover balanced along with it, every little helps

Another update - just ordered a sachs vr6 clutch and some mtec drilled and grooved discs, same as what i had on my old fr:

Just need to pick this flywheel up and sort the flywheel and clutch cover bolts

i know but we do them anyway if the flywheel is off. May aswell whilst it is

Might aswell fire a diff in there aswell bud if you have the dosh id seriously think about it mate as it really does help put the power down so much i feel it snatch the road when i go to overtake in 3rd gear sometimes unreall piece of kit........
