i bought some seat sport ap racing calipers for my fr and them discs off a member on here at the same time, then calipers wouldnt get under my wheels so sold them and kept the discs. I know you can get them off ebay for about 85-90 quid. Im gonna get them and some ds2500 pads. Found some of them on camskill for about 85 quid aswell so not too bad.

I need to try find a spare one of them mounts somewhere so i can fit the bush in and swap the mounts over haha made a big difference in the fr but it vibrated like mad with it been diesel

i just used hammerite on my fr. My cupra had new rear discs and pads at 25k so they look in good shape. On the fr they looked in bad state. I need a couple of days off work to just sort the calipers and brakes out haha

just wish that forge hose was a black one :(

Dont suppose anyone fancies swapping?haha

Cut out the snow screen on the intake too, as it looked dead restrictive. Mapping tweaks on saturday then hopefully it will just be happy running! Working away this week and am missing it like

Cleaned the engine bay up a tad as was looking abit dirty. Need to spend a good hour or two on it to be honest to get it spot on:

Only spent half hour on it but it looks better.

Car also went back to John, of bigfishtuning, today. The map is spot on and it pulls like a train right to the limiter in every gear I have tested. Would happily recommend his services, good prices and always happy to help out!

Next on the list is some oem front disks and some ferodo ds2500 pads. Should be ordering them in the next couple of days. Needs to stop aswell as it goes now!

Just been a skint Flint really haha depends how cheap David from sere motors can do them. Might get elliptical grooves put in them like my old corsa:

What videos do you want al? Won't be doing any launches, really don't think the standard clutch can take 4k rpm launches! Last time I tried, it got a little hot haha all fine now though and don't fancy pushing my luck with it. Will get solid flywheel and better clutch at some point though!

I'll try get one today :) getting a little USB hd video camera next month so I'll Velcro it to te car above the exhaust and get some better ones. Shame I can't launch it, it sounds mad when you drop the clutch, get a couple of really loud bangs, sounds like a rally car haha

Yeh them disks and pads were just mintex oem replacements with the grooves put in, worked class compared to the standard ones. Had the same on the rear. Just not sure on the grooves the old disks on the fr had, don't want them wearing down 100 quid pads quickly lol noticed myself using the brakes allot more since it was mapped so they definitely need sorting.

You still on standard discs and pads?

yeah still using standard brakes and like you say the pads and discs definitely need upgrading when mapped im dreading taking the pins out of the callipers though as they tend to get seized in,but when i do the pads and discs which will be pretty soon i shall be giving the callipers a good coat of paint and i shall probably upgrade the brake fluid too.

Mine had new pads in last April, dunno why he didn't change the discs too, they are fooked really haha hopefully won't be too bad to do. I need to get new rubber covers on the bleed points too. Not sure where to get these from! Was hoping to lacquer the callipers today bit it's tipping down :( rear ones are all chipped etc too, just cleaning and painting callipers is one of them rubbish jobs :(

look for motorbike bleed nipple covers on ebay as they pretty much all come with 6/4 pot calipers.
im not keen on painting callipers either but my fronts are going pink and its doing my head in i had my wheels off yesterday trying to polish some colour back into them but there staying pink and my rears are nicely chipped as well.
heres a link to some covers http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_...bleed+nipple+covers&_sacat=See-All-Categories
