I'm not like you guys...
Lol i think its boss the way you just take it apart an wack it back together again lol
It's something that would cost proper brewsties at a garage to get done. Im getting myself a whole new set of tools for my birthday to make some progress on the Polo. Might give you a shout on advice on what would be best to make me exhaust with if thats ok

yearh im unsure if these are copyies or oringal wossnerr pistons , they feel light , have some markings rubbed off inside and oil rings look flimsy , pistons coatings have slight over spray, maybe me, but unsure,
/ still there getting banged in pmsl

if they are im glad i didnt pay full wack for these things (bet i could make a seton lathe pmsl), as i pref my own i fitted here...........................

next block came back rebored out for 83.1mm pistons ,

so poped pistons in (not bad for a guess approx 2mm from the top bore lip with deep centres,

You are a very smart man :)

nar i wouldnt go that that far , more like has a go , as im fed up , stripped engine ready for pistons and rods ,then found the rods wont fit down the bores:(dam things, )this is because these are stage2 rods meaning,
vr6 12v are stage1 81mm bore
r32 24v are stage2 84mm bore
its too risky rehoneing a 12vr6 because the block walls will be thin/may crack with boost
and carnt have 4mm removed(2mm either side)because these are fitted with arp 2000-06 bolts and with make them unsafe and out of balance,:(
