Best keep that exhaust tip clean. If the soot etc builds up too much it's almost impossible to get it off! I have a cat too lol ;)

After I fitted the coilpacks I went and got some longer bolts for the map sensor incase I needed them. Then went to girlfriends and got cracking with the car. Started like this:

Bumper off:

Took the standard boost pipe off and the map sensor out. Needed to use the adapter for the map sensor, so good job I went and got some longer bolts! Needed to file out the adapter:

Then it fitted on properly:

Fitted in the new boost pipe:

New hose section on the intercooler:

Then I fitted the boost pipe on, plugged the sensor back in. Then refitted the forge boost hose from this pipe to the throttle body and tightened it all up. Forgot to get pictures of it all together d'oh!

Needed to take this bracket off, which helps fitting massively:

Didn't need to move the crashbar at all. The bit on the bumper that needs cutting to fit it back on needed quite allot off though! Ended up like this:

Not much of it left! Bumper sits perfect though so it's all good! Blew a boost hose off first outing but all seems fine now. Allot more responsive and picks up miles quicker in gear!

One set back though, mapping was supposed to be this Saturday but will now be the Saturday after. He's got all the numbers off my ecu so he's making a start then is going to do the rest in person the following Saturday. He mentioned that he's trying to decode launch control on these ecus too at the moment! :D hopefully before mines getting done haha

Looks very much like mine :D good job you got those longer bolts, I was just lucky I had some lying around. Looks like you took plenty off the bumper, I did too. Not sure my bumper is lined up 100% though, have you got any close up pics of your bumper now its all back together? Especially around the bottom of the headlights...

Yeh took loads off. Left quite abit at the back but bumper went on fine so couldnt be bothered taking it back off, then forgot to plug the fogs and thermometer back in so decided to trim more off an make it spot on. I had cable tied to boost pipe hard down to the crash bar too get as much room as possible. Gf's dad was out with his tape measure and helped with cutting ideas and trial fitting, so that was good. Only lost one bolt too so good overall!

I'll get you some pics tomo of below the headlights :)

Not sure what you think but do you reckon the pipe could have done with been another cm or so longer where it comes up behind the headlight?

Yeh I reckon so, the Forge pipe isn't quite a 100% replica in terms of the pipe ends, but it would have been loads of extra work to cut and weld an extra bit on, or take a 60mm pipe and have it mandrel bent.

To be honest, it's a pipe that noone is ever going to see so as long as it fits somehow and the bumper goes back in place i'm not too fussed. It's nice knowing there's something really shiny that people aren't even going to see though lol

What bolt did you lose? I've got one missing from underneath the bumper but I lost that ages ago. I still haven't found that torx bit either, practically given up looking now though.

Just one of the bumper ones that you get through the front grill with an extension bar. All lined up fine and looks like it was never off. Old corsa bumper was off loads and you could tell with that haha only about 8 bolts holding that on and lost half of them lol yeh all fits fine just on the limit of their tb hose, any shorter and I'd have been struggling I reckon!

Yeh sure mate, I'll ask my boss on Saturday :) have a funny feeling it might be for the price of your gearbox...... Haha

Car definitely pulls better with this pipe, overtook a car this morning on a single carriageway and it really did just pick up and rocket off. Mapping won't come quick enough!
