I tried this and all looks good but it wont work, when i go into set up and test the interface it says that the lead is not connected or incorrectly connected which is wasn't, does this mean the program doesn't like my lead? it works perfectly on vag-com though.

Thanks for this hara, downloaded, installed, registered, changed the com port to one that worked (COM 4) and one tap on the activate windows button and about 10 seconds it was all done! Unplugged everything got out the car gave it ago and works perfect! Ahhhh!!

Now I can open the windows on a hot day without even getting in the car!

Thank you! :p

Big thanks hara! Saved me £30 odd. I connected up vagcom first to check com ports. Then put the autowindows on first time no problem. I also put the alarm blip on for some amusement :).

Not sure if I'm missing doing something or not, can some talk us through exactly what to press.

Apparently it's supposed to work on the Leon from 2001.

Here's what I did (mine's 2003 btw):
  • Opened vagcom with usb cable already connected.
  • Connected with vagcom and confirmed which port it was using.
  • Left cable in with ignition on and closed vagcom. Opened Motordiag.
  • Some message pops up titled varovani. I click OK. Then a splash screen comes up with two pics of cables and the registration details. There are two buttons at the bottom, one I presume to register and the other is a greyed out OK button that counts down from 15 then becomes available to click. I click that green ticked OK button.
  • The next screen advertises the 2.0 full version with the option to koupit online or Pokracovat. I clicked Pokracovat.
  • Then up comes the main screen as in your screen shot above. I click setup then type in my registration code from the email and click Registruj. Then choose the correct port found from Vagcom or device manager and click test interface until it says Port ready I think. Then click the green tick Ulolit.
  • Now click Aktivace oken. A few codes and text will appear for about 10 seconds. Then a couple more dialiogue boxes will appear. Click ok to all of these. Then click exit.
  • Ignition off. Unplug cable and get out of car.
  • Lock car. Press and hold unlock until the windows go down. Press and hold lock and the windows go up.
  • Rejoice or cry depending on outcome

I hope that helps. :)

It's growing on me now. I think I will leave it on. It does sound like you have an expensive security system which makes for a good theft deterrent fingers crossed.
