Think I will. I nearly always use TESCO 99 but the last couple of times I've filled up I've been totally out and and it's been get to the nearest garage ; Sainsbury's and then a Total.

Think I'll fill up at Shell/BP a couple of times.

Although I suspect I wont see the end of the high CF's until I've fitted the FMIC and got the temps down. It will have to stay as is for the RR @ Awesome in a couple of weeks.

Logs after fitting FMIC

Ok... fitted an FMIC at the weekend (well a mate did most of the work). What do you think?

You'll see from the block 118 that the temps have come down big time. Pre FMIC was done at outside temp 15 degrees C and today I logged and it was 24 degrees C. So even through it was a lot hotter I was still well under the pre FMIC run.

My problem is that there is a massive whistle sound... my daughter helped with the logging and she said it sounds more like someone squeezing air out of a bottle (think she right as well).

Pre FMIC:

Looks much better now mate :)

Looks like you might have a tiny boost leak somewhere, try nipping up the hose clips a little bit more..

Was thinking that myself... Looking back my older logs I was bang on requested Vs actual. So there is a good chance I've not got a FMIC coupler out of line or slightly loose.

Will have a look over the weekend and try logging again next week - but in general it car is running sweet going by the logs...

Also going to order up a Jetex filter and see if there are a few more g/s in there.

The N75 will cycle the wastegate closed to control the boost, then start to open it more as the K03S runs out of puff.

With yours at the moment, its keeping it open to try to get more boost (trying to compensate for the leak).

Thanks for all the help guys - but another question...

If I use a leak tester can I go through the 25mm pipe that joins above the turbo (i.e. take it off the bottom of the DV)? Or should I test further down stream on the hotside FMIC pipework in both directions?

stick a cork in the end of the hose that goes from catch can to tip. oil cap off, and pressure test through charge pipe on turbo outlet.
