Just dont fit a standard large port as it will be shite compared to a ported small port. No one wants extra lag.

Be nice to see the car all finished. Been a long time coming :)

Hi Phil do you have VAG com or know anyone with it? My idle is really low on my car and few people think that it can be raised on VAG com.

Had a complete nightmare last night which could have been worse. Whilst removing the inlet manifold i tried to remove the injectors, which seemed to be stuck, and as two of them popped out the plastic washer and the o-ring fell into the head. Luckily i managed to remove the 4 bits in the head with a pencial and some vaseline. lol.

So, mesh on the bumper has been removed, as have the fog lights and the LCR splitter which has seen better days.

Managed to get my strut brace back on as well, which i thought i might not with the turbo in the way.

Ill be doing the wrinkle paint inlet mani this weekend.

Ive bought a 2.5" hose kit from ebay to make up my intercooler piping as well which i might start this weekend.

Yeah i got it, and i can raise your idle but i think something is wrong first of all if your idle is low.

its been like it since I bought the car it runs fine just at about 700-750rpm and because ive got a stainless catback it sounds awful at idle when warm.

Nice one Phil, bet there was some blue language when those seals fell in the head :D

Give me a shout if you need anymore help on the intercooler setup though I'm sure you'll be OK

Are you leaving the fogs out for brake ducting or is this just temporary?

I bought a cooler, its the same size as the one in Bill's topic for the FMIC's. Uni one from ebay with 3" inlet/outlets, core size 600x300x76. I based the size off the Garret 600bhp core size which is slightly bigger.

Got the pipe kit off ebay as well. If the core turns up tomorrow i might start fitting it.

Wow Phil you been busy!

Looks great. Once its mapped i'd love to take a look and possible demo. ;)

Of course mate, as soon as its on the road ill let you know.

We need to talk as well, PASSAT! When we doing it? lol.

Walbro pump turned up on Thursday so i need to get moving and fit that as its easy, hopefully picking up the other manifold this weekend as well so ill paint that asap as the engine bay is looking awful right now. lol.

Used U section alu to mount to the top of the crash bar, had to cut slits down and bash the uprights down on the crash bar as you can see.

Cut away various parts at the bottom of the side of the rad area, one of them holds the plastic undertray, can fix that to something else.

Theres a few mm between the end of the cooler and the rad, not ideal but its in the clear. Theres no cutting to the crash bar or the bumper currently but i guess that might change a little when i fit the pipes.
