Saying there is no fix is bollocks. If there is a fault there must be a fix and dealer is obliged to fix it. Having ability to check faults ourselves now we cannot be easily dissmissed by dealer saying that they fixed it while they didn't...

Ive scanned many Mk2 leons and seen thihs come on on about half of them, incuding my own. its always there.

The sensors still work, you can test this by leaving the window open and locking the car and climbling through the window

Or you can test it by forgetting you have a passenger and locking the car habitually as you go to pay for petrol... returning a minute later to find your alarm going off and an extremely annoyed passenger dead-locked inside. Whoops!

hmm i'm not sure... i've definately started my ignition and they've come down from the up position... unless I'm thinking of my MKV golf?

This happens if you folded them in by holding down the lock button on the remote for several seconds. If you use the mirror adjust knob to fold them in, they stay folded in until you switch the knob to one of the other positions.

I've not heard of a vag-com setting to fold the mirrors every time you lock the car (i.e. no need for the long button press), but that doesn't mean there isn't such a setting hidden away somewhere.

Ok heres a few things ive noted down:

Boot Release. When pressing the middle button on the key fob, it "pop's" the boot open slightly, rather than just unlocking it. Some people may not like this.

This is not in this byte for me. Have you enabled something previously to this?

haha this happends to me all the time! I instinctly lock the doors when I get out.. forgetting sometimes that my passenger is still in there. When you press the unlock button the alarm turns off but the the car auto locks and it happens again. Annoying if there is a big queue at the petrol station till!

A little OT perhaps, but if I have the little one sleeping in the back of the car, I've learned to double-click the lock button while I go to pay. This disables the interior sensors and deadlocks, but keeps the car locked.

For a while I used Shell's Pay at Pump machines so I could stay with the car, but as prices have increased, they've kept the same "maximum £60" limit on them, so I can't actually fill up my tank with those machines and that just irritates me far too much... so it's back to the kiosk for me until they increase the Pay at Pump limit.

I tested my Interior sensor once by locking the car while i was in it and then jumping around and it didnt go off!!!!but might that be because i had the key inside the car with me?

Asda fuel have now increased Maximum to £99

Ok guys, the 520NM struts are perfect. I did grease up my hinges the other week, seen someone say that on the Golf forums. 550NM would be the most i would suggest going for.

The 520NM do the job very well, opening it progressivly, unlike the 600NM ones which felt like the were going to rip the hatch off the car. lol.

Actually is the overall length of the strut when extended 500mm? I can't measure up as I have no car atm.

You won't need VMWare as you already have a Windows computer. Some people on here have Macs which require software like VMWare to run applications such as VAG-Com.

I believe I am running 804? The beta one would not work with the cable.

I got a Vag-Com cable from ebay for £8!

If you have £200 to spend on one go for it, but all cables are made the same with the same connectors and wiring in expensive and cheap! Found this out recently with HDMI cables. No need to spend £100 on one when a £4 does exactly the same job with the same quality!

my ebay cable works grand at £8!
