Exactly - you need to modify a VXR to match a standard Cupra ;)

As for Stage 3 Astra VXR's, when you conisder you need intercoolers, exhausts, intakes, remaps etc to get to the 290bhp they make, the fact that a simple remap gets better figures and better graphs on a Cupra, you realise the difference between the two cars. Add the same hardware upgrades that makes the Astra Stage 3 on to the Cupra, and you have 70bhp more in the Cupra.

I dont even really bother with Astra VXR's when they try it on any more as there is really no point, but when I do, I love seeing the look on their faces when they start to fall back because so many of their drivers truly do believe they are driving the fastest hot hatch on the road

I on the other hand am under no illusion that at some point soon, a new Focus RS will probably romp past me on the road/track somewhere.

Reading back through mate, when you say a new focus RS, a friend of mine and poverty (hes been banned from this forum) has a cupra K1 runnnig 360+bhp and he beat a modded 385bhp focus RS ;)

Back from the dead
When I was originally looking at a new MY11 S3, as the engine had changed from TFSi to TSi I can't carry across the fuel pump, intake, infact I'm not even sure I could take the exhaust over.

I wouldn't want a std spec S3, so I'm waiting patiently for the release pack on the RS3.

After all the hassles with modifying on this car, I'm not so sure I'd do much in the future, just make sure the base car was fast enough.

That said you have to have something pretty bloody quick to hold a stg2+ LC Mk2

It looks a lot better with the exhaust polished up mate! I like the black when the exhaust is shiny but not when you can't see it lol

Cras great mate, can't believe your gonna sell it lol I contemplated it and put it up and then went to crail and decided against it lol
