Had an expensive day yesterday, after making my old Michelin pilot sports last for nearly 2 years it was time for some fresh one's, In the end I decided to go for the Yokohama Parada spec 2, I know this isn't the most important thing when choosing tyres but these have got to be one of the best looking tyres around.

Old ones coming off

New Yoko's going on

Then on for a bit of tracking, surprisingly the tracking was still spot on and it hasn't been checked for a while

Big thanks to Mark at Wheelpower in Brockley for sorting me out again

Well done Darren looks really good.

Did you change all 4 corners or just front two? I really do hope you havent left the worn ones on the back!

Not sure on the splitter have seen another cupra with colour coded splitter and it just doesnt look right to me gives it a odd look but as with everything each to their own mate and atleast your experimenting.

On the tyres ive had these when i had my astra and they are a really good tyre i just feel that they wear rather quick and that was just a 2.0 16v went through a set in a matter of months so until more people have tried them im sticking with the falkens. But give us an update of how your getting on with them.

I had to get all 4 Maz as they had all seen better days

This is one of my favourite cars on here, I really cant wait for you to break out the lowering stick and get some spacers, stance is gonna make such a difference!
Splitter looks awesome by the way
Thanks Martin that means a lot to me hearing you say that ;)

How come you went for those tyres Daz? Any initial impressions?
I'v heard a lot of good things about them as well as looking good, I was goingg to get the Goddyears but they are a bit hard to get hold of at the moment,
I'v not really hard a chance to give them a good workout yet but (I'v only done about 50 miles on them) but I'm pretty happy with them so far.

I only do about 3-4k a year so hopefully they should last a while, thats one of the reason's I went for a slightly softer tyre

The tyre's got a bit of a wet weather work out today and I am very impressed with them in the wet, yes the car will try to push on if you boot it out of a corner or roundabout but all in all they are very good so far, They are easly as good as my old Michelin pilot sports.
With a bit of luck might get to try them in the dry tomorrow :)

looks good D.K, I like the colour of your wheels. The splitter is nice too, although I'd prefer it all C/F, or all C/F showing anyway.

Be interested to hear more about the Paradas. I'm in need of some new tyres soon and finding it really hard to decide what to get
