Washed/clayed/polished mine on Saturday, and it only took me 3 hours
Although Ant was right, even though it's only 6months old, it needs some swirl marks sorting out thanks to the pre-delivery wash at the dealers... grrrr
Car's coming along nicely though Adam, looked good the other night when I spotted you on Notts Road

Its getting there
As Adam said, I only attacked the bonnet and arches this week, the paint on the bonnet was of a very poor finish, with two sections towards the front corners posessing no lacquer at all! So understandably I was very cautious and took my time on the bonnet. The arches were in a much better condition, and both has finishing polish and and a menzerna polishing pad, followed by a single pass of final finish and finishing pad
The bonnet and arches now also have 2 layers of raceglaze 55 wax, which seemed to be beading quite well

As the car has been freshly resprayed I was taking my time and being careful, which i'd rather do and get the right outcome for Adam
Next week I will carry on, and aim (on a day off!) to get the front bumper, both doors and the roof finished.

I carried on with Adams car today - With the Rear 3/4s and Doors being corrected at Adams request.
Snowfoam - A mix of VP Snowfoam and APC for some more 'cut' :
Washed using Megs shampoo plus and 2 mitts, then the panels to be corrected were clayed using Bilt Hamber clay and dried, leaving the panels looking like this : (Apologies for the poor photos, the bright light hindered my efforts to photograph the pain pre / during and after) :
Holograms evident

Yeah ok - I'm in the middle of moving out of the folks home to a place with my missus in Alvaston so it will probably be a few weeks until I am able to get some more detailing done. I also need to put another massive order into CYC / Autobrite etc to replenish supplies and try a few new products out

i got a phone call last night from seat sayin they are havin some sort of open day and due to me bein a loyal customer
they said they will give me a good deal on my sports. They said they have alot of 06 07 ibiza FRs TDIs thinkin of goin to have a look but my girlfriend said she would dump me if i get another car as we need to buy a house what do i do lol

i no what your sayin iv spent alot on the car plus its got most the FR stuff on it well waitin for the front seats and steering wheel

I can almost guarantee they've phoned everyone on their customer list and told them the same thing.
Basically what they've got, is a sh1t load of part exchanged cars left over from the new registrations in March that they're desperately trying to shift so they can get their sales numbers to the target for the end of the month.
