Aye, MK4s look the best of the range of top golfs.

I don't know why they got rid of the V6. Great noise, great noise and have I mentioned the noise yet.

Amazing.

I think like Mike says, they are putting the 2.0t in to be more economic and to cut back on tax a bit. I much prefer this noise though!

Cheers fella! Certainly dont get fed up of this noise now! The Ibiza sounded good for a derv, but this V6 just bellows...

All of the top'o'range VWs are now "R" models. They have dropped the -32 or -36 bits from the names. They will still be the most powerful versions of each model though... so I bet they will sell them!

Modern cars makers are all going for smaller capacity engines to be a bit greener.

If I wanted green, I'd have bought an Ecomotive. As far as I'm concerned, you all have me to thank for this nice weather! By me driving the V6 around, getting crap MPG, I'm therefore contributing to global warming. Hence the nice weather. Cheques can be send via post or paypal

The old exhaust:

And the "flapper". See how it would work??? There is a vacuum pipe attaches to this bit, it opens and closes the flapper, making it louder and quieter. Needless to say, the Milltek doesnt have this so it's permantly loud

And just look at how restrictive the old exhaust was where it went under the rear axle/drive shafts etc. Cant believe how crap design it was! Yet again, the milltek doesnt have this. And I reckon since fitting the milltek, it picks up alot better now too!

And, you can hardly see it, but look at the trees and you can just about see the end of the rainbow is actually on my car! No pot of Gold, or leprechauns, just an R32 I wanted to take a good pic but only had my phone with me.

Thanks Andy! Non resonated of course, I think it's rude to spoil a Mk4 R32 by putting a resonated exhaust on it. I will eventually be getting the sports cats and manifolds too. Must admit, been seriously considering getting cruise control retro fitted with you, but you're so damn far away!

Had a bit of a cleaning session on the interior tonight, ready for the Castle Combe Performance Car Action Day on Saturday

And sorted out my Milltek - the left pipe sat lovely, but the right one was too far over to the right. So have sorted it now and looks spot on!

Got a big cleaning session lined up for it tomorrow - so might be updating with pics again soon!

It's not at the moment, it's just silver so you can get away with it more!

It's got a few light scratches on the roof, passenger door and bonnet I'm gonna machine polish out. Then I want to clay it cos it's getting a few bits building up on the paint again, more so on the boot. It'll look mint when it's done and will gleam if it's gonna be the weekend predicted!

Got some pics of my 5/6 hour cleaning session. Would've been quicker but the heat was unbearable so a few breaks and showers had to be taken! lol

Order of cleaning:

Snowfoam;
Wash;
Clay Bar;
Wash to remove soap suds;
Machine polish bonnet & roof to remove a few light scratches;
Wash to remove polish splatter;
Dry and polish using Autosmart Platinum;
Auto Glym glass polish inside and out;
Wax using Auto Glyn HD Wax;
Autosmart "Finish" tyre dressing;
Vacuum and dust the interior.

Even cleaned the tailpipes and silencer cos you can see it through the bumper, so want it spangling.
