As EmDee said really.
Also dont take too much notice of what power a mappers say's they can produce, I have seen other cars with the same mods and map as mine not make the power mine has made,

As for torque steer if you dont want it then dont buy a high powered front wheel drive car, they all do it no matter what you do to them,
Mine does pull a bit if you nail it but in everyday driveing it's not a problem.
Gearbox and driveshaft's seem to cope with the extra power with no problem's

Hi Mate.

Many thanks for quick responce to my quiery it's much appreciated. :) Like I said to EmDee I want low rev range torque i dnt want to get loads of torque when having to get the engine to high revs i want it to kick in about 3k. I don't know what your remap is like mate? Does the boost/torque kick in quickly and whats it like on MPG to now u have had the remap. What BHP is your Cupra bud? I will look into AMD Technik now then.

When you said a well maintained LCR u mean a cupra that has around 55k or lower on the clock?

I wish I could by my LCR this week mate :D, if only money grew off tree's hay. My maximum budget is 8k but would prefer to get a well maintained LCR with 55k or lower on the clock for less?

Just going back to what you said about not to take much notice of results of remapps as some LCR can produce a less power output than others with same mods.:confused: Don't you think thats a bit unfair, same money spend on same mods, same car and spec engine and the end result isn't as great as you think it would be?

Many thanks for ur info once again mate.

Chris

On my best RR run my Cupra R made 275BHP and 295lb/ft Torque, it did drop a bit on my last session up this was due to the map needing adjusting after fitting the FMIC recently.

Mine has been mapped for quite a while now but I dont think my MPG has really changed much, TBH I dont really take much notice of what it get's, I think it's around mid 20's around town and hi 30's to mid 40's on motorways, it all depends what mood I'm in ;)

The milage doesnt really have anything to do with how well it's been looked after or maintained, it may only have 55k on the clock but if it's not had regular oil changes and not been allowed to warm up and cool down then it's not been looked after.

What I ment about power figures is a mapper may say your car will make xxxBHP but there a lot of thing's that can affect this, i.e engine condition, other engine mods, type of rolling road, airtemp even tyres have been blamed for low BHP reading's on rolling roads

Hi

Thanks for the info once again.

Whats the FMIC that you said you got done recently?

When I buy the car i'm going to look for a number of things, one of them make sure it's had good history of servicing and oil changes etc by professional dealerships and not alot of people warm up the turbo and let it cool down but if i can get a owner who has done a cool down to his LCR everytime and replaced cambelt, aux belt, water pump etc and is well looked after i shall be happy. :D

You have msn mate?

FMIC = Font mount intercooler
No I'm not on MSN

I want to get a Forge FMIC for my LCR to mate. Thats another mod to put on my mod list. :p:D

I don't know how much your talking though for a decent one though. Would I need to upgrade the turbo or anything like that inplace of a upgraded FMIC mate?

Sorry for all these questions. :(

For a Forge FMIC your looking at about £600 + fitting unless your handy with a spanner.
You wont need any extra mods to go with a FMIC, you could even use one on the standerd map.

Your main mods should be
1) exhaust
2) airfilter, either modded airbox or open cone filter
3) Forge 007p DV
4) Remap
5) Decent brake pads

Cool. My mods apart from the 18" RS4 alloys will be the following...

1) Milltek Resonated Cat Back exhaust.
2)ITG carbon filter air filter.
3) Forge 007DV
4)Revo (Stage 1 Remap)
5) EBC Turbo grooved discs or higher drilled and grooved EBC discs with Ferodo DS2500's pads for track n road use.
6) Forge FMIC.

What you think dude? :)

A few little jobs done today
Firstly I fitted the srvice kit to my new second hand Forge 007p DV

FMDVSK.jpg

http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=&product=FMDVSK

This was the amont of wear on the old piston

Picture075.jpg

Then removed my Forge Spilt-R DV and fitted the 007p

Picture077.jpg

Dispite many opinion's the Split-R has been very good and I'm only replaceing it to see what all the fuss is about over the 007.

Next up was the rear head rest's

Picture078.jpg

Need to get another one for the middle, not sure what yet though

Then a good wash and coat of wax

Picture076.jpg

And finally a couple of new stickers
