Alrite Josh hows the car going mate? Will need to see this when the hybrid goes on its a route im thinking of going down myself after the summer just dunno if it will be worth the extra money for a sake of 40 odd bhp

Bit of a poor update really. I haven't got all the parts together in time which is a bit of a bummer, but a bit of a relief as I don't like doing things under the pressure of time. I would of had to get everything done by this weekend and I would have been rushed. By the looks of things it won't be getting done until early June now.

Still waiting on a few parts from SEAT that I am going to pick up today. Just small things like manifold studs, washer for turbo lines etc. Also my MAF is playing up again so I'm going to take it in today so they can replace it for me.

Who are you going to get to map this little puppy once fitted then mate?
I've been on his case about this too.

The group he had told me about I'm trying to change his mind over but we will see what his current favourite is.

No point in doing this then not having it mapped correctly to make the most of the benefits of his full set up.
This has to be a full custom to make it worth while, or else a certain Red KO3S'd Ibiza Cupra will make him look silly

I have a mapped ecu by Jabbasport for it at the moment, which will be fitted and then tweeked to suit my car just to get it running safely.

Then if money is going well maybe I will get it properly mapped to its full potential with a set of uprated rods to go with it.

Willie if I do go ahead and get it mapped maxed out I'm just going to bend the rods, if not I will always be driving it in fear of doing it.

Josh, the biggest risk is between having the turbo fitted and having it properly mapped.

Its too big a risk to do this Josh, you will bend rods.

Get the turbo fitted and before you drive it get it mapped, especially with hybrids, they spike at massive torque.

There was a guy fall fowl of this on a LCR, his still rebuilding his engine just now.

I drove mine on Revo Stg 1 code ~40 miles over to Bill, just made sure I was off boost.

If you can't trust your right foot just disconnect the N75, but a full custom map is the only way to go to get the most out of these setups (with rods)

Is upprated rods a must when going hybrid (cr-turbo)?

Looks really nice mate. I'll be doing some trackdays soon, but knockhill is a tad far

Will be interesting when the new blower is on

Ok so having a little trouble with a misfire/stutter. I have replaced the MAF as there was a MAF signal too low code, so that has gone but it is still here.

I have just taken it out for a run and it seems to be worst when cold and then slowly getting better but always seems to be there. It only occurs under load.

I was getting these codes while clearing them on the road and see what reoccurs:

17526 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating: B1 S2: Open Circuit (because decat and lambda isn't there)
16514 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: Malfunction in Circuit
16825 - EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow (because carbon canister isn't there)

I think what I'm looking at here is my pre cat sensor has gone as it seems that it would get better the hotter it gets, but I thought I would post and see what everyone else says? I am going to whip out the spark plugs and see fit like. The coilpacks may also be the cause, but they are good originals and I have had a fault with them before and this doesn't seem like it is causing it this time.

I had a misfire/stutter, cured it with a new set of spark plugs.

Didn't read the codes before hand though.

do you have a wideband afr gauge? i would reccommend one is added so you can keep an eye on fueling.. you dont want it running lean
