I think I know my way round Measuring Blocks for the Mk3 / Mk4 Ibiza and the Leons.

However, I haven't had time to get my head round the very basic info that you can get on the Mk2 8v. I don't even know if the 16v is different. Searches haven't really turned up very much. If anyone can help fill the gaps and point to anything useful, I'll try and put together a more useful guide.

Here's the available blocks from mine, shown with a quick throttle blip in each case.

As mine's been juddering a little when warm (inj temp sensor i think) i plugged in to try my 'first' log that in terms i understand a warm up with using 01-engine (ecu) measuring blocks of groups 001 - 050 - 101

not sure if any are relevant in reality as i was just playing and guessed after spotting this link

http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/m_blocks/

i let it warm back up on tickover then left for 60 sec more no engine running no throttle - still lists as 378rpm which is what i thought of as wierd

Yep - Digifant ecu on the 16v then
Simos 4 on the 8v.

I think you may have more available blocks in the engine module.

Block 001 above looks similar.

I'd say its
RPM
Coolant Temp
A sensor voltage
????????????

The sensor voltage decreases as revs increase. MAF?

I don't like the look of the fluctuations on yours at idle, Fl@pper....

you wanna sit in it then :( judders away at present so much you can see the bonnet shaking when it's up

Lambda control value Bank 1 was what it listed in the groups link

will be sticking in temp sensors anyway as i havent changed em yet (surprisingly) as it changes from 'norm' as soon as oil temp gauge reads on mfa

So Blocks could be
Code:
Block	1	2	3	4
001	RPM	Coolant Temp/ Lambda Control value bank 1/	Lambda Control value bank 1
002	RPM	Load %/	Mean injection time ms/	Air Mass g/s
003	RPM	Air Mass g/s/	Throttle valve angle %/	Ignition angle
004	RPM	Voltage	Coolant Temp	Intake air temp
005	RPM	Load %/	Speed kpm/	Operating Condition
006	RPM	Load %/	Intake air temp/	Altitude Correction %

Edit - no these don't match the 8v blocks........

I used VCDS-Lite today on my Mk2 for the first time (in the past it's been Vag-Com).

I was suprised to see it brings up the correct label file - so you can now see what the engine blocks are actually measuring.
