Ross I just have to say thanks for this thread, mine was having the exact same issue and the fuel pump you specified sorted it out! :funk:

The map was closing the butterfly to manually force the AFR back in line once it knew the pump couldnt supply any more fuel.

Car feels like new again!

Same issue.

Having exact same issue as this. With my ibiza fr 1.8t
Changed everything apart from lambda and pump. To no avail.

Ordered pump and lambda yesterday and just found this thread. Many thanks. For the info almost pleased that despite tech knoll age and vagcom there are others who have issues that take a few part changes to solve.
Good to know I'm on the right track.
Many thanks for posting a solve for once. So many threads remain un solved.
Cheers

Ancient Thread Bump Again :)

Just like to say a big thank you to Ross for going through the steps in this thread!

I recently had my 1.8T mapped but it started to lean out at high boost/rpm.

Mapper suggested using a pressure gauge to test and what components to look at, as it didn't arrive in time I did some googling and found how to use VCDS to see my issue (already had this, probably should have asked the mapper how to do it but didn't think at the time was just disappointed my car didn't go as fast as I wanted it to :p) and found this thread.

Anyway, replaced FPR followed by the pump and the problem is sorted :) (back on the original FPR and still ok, so dodgy 47k miler pump).

Glad you're sorted :)
