The three pics of the bottom hayward and scott pipes look good mate, tho i cant make anything out from the bottom one of the turbo outlet lol. I see you got your filter mate, looks good tho i thought you said it was big

Thought it said it all in my post Andrew? Yes they are much stronger.maz them droplinks you have coming are they a better construction /harder
i have not long replaced mine for oem and its now snapped in half ???
let us know on the filter too , am looking at alternatives
cheers

Oh, now i can see the picture, i couldnt see the pipe cause it wasnt shiny lol
Mmm It does look a bit small

It is a tad smaller than I thought it would be however it is a dual cone filter so it doesnt need to be massive.
The Apexi dual funnel Power Intake has evolved from the Apexi Super Intake filter with some subtle refinements in the design and filter element. According to Apexi, this resulted in a 10% reduction in pressure drop by utilizing an upper and lower funnel. The Power Intake reduces air turbulence within the filter and creates smooth air flow into the throttle body. Maintenance is kept to a minimum as this filter is a dry-type air filter and will alleviate the problem of filter oil from "wet" air cleaners, interfering with the air-flow meter.
I havent recieved them yet which reminds me I got to chase Regal. Soon as I get them will write a full review as normal.I should have been a bit clearer have you had any issues with it since fitted etc
as my oem one has snapped yet again doing daily driving not on the ring ,
im not sure if its related but my arches or something is rubbing while on full lock now so need to look into these , for now im going to get another oem one as im away doing alot of driving for the weekend and week after up blackpool with the little one etc
as for this filter im wondering whether it would fit onto the carbonio pipe or if it would be pointless
I've read several articles around the net about high airflow filters wheter they be replacement filters or direct cone filters. noone ever could prove they are effective besides the sound and the placebo effect they came with.Still makes me chuckle.
You won't log any appreciable difference on a dyno because the fans they use are incoable of replicating real air movement at 80+ mph.
You won't log any meaningful data on the road because too many variations occur.
What you can say is that a bigger filter will allow more air to be sucked in but at the speeds you can get to, even illegally, ram effect isn't going to take place.
Therefore, he who has the biggest free flowing filter will do best.
I'd like to see someone who knows about fluid dynamics do some maths on just how much air you can flow down a 76mm MAF housing
If you can only flow so much air through the maf then trying to supply extra is pointless, unless it sounds better which is the real reason for doing it.
Well maz, I am glad that you have solve MAF problem. When you are going to dyno the car?I haven't lost any performance however I have gained some. This is mainly due to new MAF i think tbh.
Thanks Stan, possibly end of month at another rolling road up north.Well maz, I am glad that you have solve MAF problem. When you are going to dyno the car?
Regards,
Stan
Cheers mate.Maz posted filter mount should be with u by end of the week mate so u can get rid of that nasty looking bit of tin lol
Yes mate thank you very muchdid the air filter mount turn up mate ?
Being built this week coming and should be picking up start of April sometime.Whats happening with the new car Maz ?
